Duncan Sportfishing invites you to spend a day on a lake or river and have a lovely time fishing in Michigan. You'll start out of Wyandotte and go fish Lake Erie or the Detroit River, both prime fishing locations with beautiful natural scenery. You'll be in the safe hands of Captain Nick Duncan, a lifelong angler with all the skills to provide a great day on the water. Pick a day and book a trip, Duncan Sportfishing is waiting for you!

The boat you'll fish from is a 19' Ranger angler boat that can sit up to 5 guests. It's powered by a 200 HP Mercury Pro XS engine that reaches a speed of 44 knots. Thanks to the onboard GPS, fishfinder, and radio electronics, you'll safely navigate the waters and easily find fish. The boat also features a wireless trolling motor for a quieter approach to your targets, as well as a livewell in order to provide live bait.

You and your guide will be targeting Walleye. On Lake Erie, you'll be trolling in order to catch it, while on the river you'll use jigging. Any fish you catch that are legal to keep are yours to take home and the captain will gladly clean and fillet them for you.

Captain Nick provides you with the rods, reels, tackle, as well as lures. You bring your fishing licenses and some food and drinks, and you'll be ready for the fun.

Lake Erie - Trolling for Walleye le March 21, 2022

Have booked with captain Duncan twice in the last year and both experiences were top notch excellent.  The boat has plenty of room and rides extremely well on the big water, the gear was top notch well taken care of and in great working order never had a single issue with gear, unless multiple fish were hooked at once-tangled lines  (a great problem to have!). I fished with captain nick for years prior to him becoming a charter captain and let me say his love for the sport is great! I’ve never met a more dedicated fisherman in my life and he will work his tail off to get you some fish! He is very easy to communicate with, makes every person in the boat feel extremely comfortable and takes the time to teach even the most novice angler what they need to do on the boat to make there trip successful and take those skills with them.  Excellent people skills, you WILL have a fantastic time, you WILL learn things and it will be a great experience guaranteed for a novice or a experienced angler. Give captain nick a call you won’t regret it!

Half day trip with Captain. NICK

PM - Detroit River: Jig for Walleye le June 19, 2023 • 4 adultes

My parents, son and myself went out with nick on june 19th to fish for walleye . We are on the fish within 15 minutes and had a great time and fishing experience throughout. Nick went above and beyond and I could not have asked for a better time on the water. We are already figuring out the next date that we can book with Nick. A 5 star experience! Thanks again Nick!

Duncan’s Sportsfishing is a great charter.  Seemed to be a slow day for all on the water but he was able to put us in good spots and we didn’t leave empty handed.  It was a great experience and we will definitely be back.

Awesome trip on Detroit river with captain Nick

Detroit River Walleye-Spring '24 AM le March 20, 2022

Captain Nick knows the Detroit river he put use on fish immediately. The 1st walleye was in the boat about 20 minutes after the first line was in the water.  His boat is very comfortable And well supplied with all the fishing gear you need. I would highly recommend Captain Nick to anyone that wants to catch on the Detroit river or on Lake Erie.
