Dream Boats CR fishes a 36' Luhrs 360 Tournament Open Express out of Los Suenos Marina in Herradura Bay, Costa Rica. This boat accommodates up to 5 guests on private charters and is set up for both offshore billfish runs and inshore reef trips along the Central Pacific coast.
Twin Cummins 6C diesel engines at 430 horsepower each push her to 22-24 knots, putting you at the offshore sailfish and marlin grounds in under an hour. The boat carries Raymarine state-of-the-art electronics for navigation, sonar, and fish-finding. A Lee Fighting Chair anchors the cockpit for serious blue marlin and yellowfin tuna battles.
All tackle is tournament-grade: St. Croix and Black Bart rods, Shimano and Fin-Nor reels, and Black Bart lures alongside a full offshore trolling spread. The boat runs both light inshore setups for roosterfish and cubera snapper and heavy offshore rigs for marlin and sailfish.
The command bridge has comfortable seating for all guests with a full view of the fishing action. Below deck, a recently upgraded air-conditioned cabin, private head, and galley give everyone a break from the sun between bites. Fusion stereo keeps the music going all day.
Full-day offshore charters target blue marlin, striped marlin, Pacific sailfish, yellowfin tuna, dorado (mahi-mahi), and wahoo along the continental shelf drop-off 22-35 miles out. Half-day inshore trips target roosterfish, cubera snapper, grouper, and jacks on the reef structure within 10 miles of the marina.
All marlin, sailfish, and roosterfish are catch-and-release under Costa Rican law. Tuna, dorado, wahoo, snapper, and grouper can be kept. The crew cleans and fillets your catch at the dock, and local restaurants will cook it for dinner.
Every charter includes all tackle, bait, lures, lunch on full-day trips, snacks, and cold drinks including local beer. Bring your fishing license ($15/week through INCOPESCA), hat, polarized sunglasses, and sunscreen. We handle the rest.
