Capt. Jonathan will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 4 to 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Redfish, Tarpon, Snook, Snapper, Jack Crevalle, and Speckled Trout, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, and spinning.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 22' Pathfinder 2200 V boat that can safely take up to 4 anglers. This boat comes with an ice-box and a wireless trolling motor.
All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day. The crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home at the end of the trip.

Fantastic day on the water

This was my second 3/4 day trip in 6 months with Jonathan of Red Snarpon Charters. The first was back in November for a guys trip with my 14-year old son, brother-in-law and father-in-law and just this week with my wife, son, and 11-year old daughter. Both trips were fantastic. Jonathan is a very easygoing captain, very hands on for baiting and releasing (for those that want that), and very knowledgeable of the area, the fish, and the wildlife. Both times we caught sharks (6 foot bull the first trip and two 5 ft black tips on the second trip). On both trips we caught a variety of cool fish including flounder, red snapper, redfish, trout, pompano, jack, stingray,
and of course countless catfish and ladyfish.
On this second trip, Jonathan was very attentive to my 11 year old daughter who has some emotional regulation challenges. She was upset that she wasn’t having a ton of luck in the first 30 minutes so he hooked her a fish which she was able to real in. Can’t say enough nice things about Jonathan and his easygoing but attentive manner.
100% would recommend Jonathan and Red Snarpon Charters for a guys trip or family outing!

I had an absolutely fantastic time on this fishing trip—easily one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had in a long while. From the moment we pushed off, the captain set the tone: welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure I had a great day on the water. The boat was comfortable and well-equipped, and the pacing of the entire trip felt effortless—never rushed, never slow, just the right rhythm for a perfect day.
What made it truly special was how fun and hands-on everything felt. Whether it was learning small tips that instantly improved my cast or getting that burst of excitement when a line went tight, every moment had its own little spark. We pulled in a mix of fish throughout the day, and even when the action slowed, the scenery alone made it worth it. There’s something about being out on open water that resets you—and this trip delivered that feeling in the best way.
By the time we headed back, I was already thinking about when I could do it again. If you’re looking for a trip that balances relaxation, fun, and just enough adventure, this is the one. Highly recommend

So much fun!

Our Captain, Jonathan, was very personable and did a nice job to engage all of us in conversation around fishing. We had our 9 year old grandson with us and he felt just as much a part of the “team” as we did. Jonathan did a nice job of timing our moves to new locations. We caught 11 fish on our trip and enjoyed the trying to catch as much as our success! It was great afternoon. If we are in the area again we would use Red Snarpon Charters for sure.

Jonathan got us hooked up on all the inshore species we were targeting. My young anglers had a fantastic time setting personal bests on redfish and snook throughout the afternoon.
The captain is great with kids and flexible with launch times to ensure we were on the water during the most opportune bite window. We will definitely book our annual family charter with him again and are already considering a more advanced sport-fishing day this spring!

Great day on the water

Booked a 3/4 trip with Captain Jonathan for my girlfriend and I and my only problem is that I wished I booked for a longer trip because we had so much fun, We didn’t have any particular fish we wanted to catch but we did suggest that we would love to catch a shark if possible just for a photo and to brag but we were just wanting to get out on the water and see what was happening! And Captain Jonathan delivered! We started the day and both my girlfriend and I caught multiple Goliath Groupers and filled our daily limit for Mangrove Snapper! We then moved closer inland and we caught two lemon sharks which made our day! Jonathan was very knowledgeable and patient and just let us cast out wherever and made sure our hooks were always baited and was fun to talk to! I highly recommend Red Tarpon Charters due to its really good prices. Next time we come to Marco Island we will definitely book with Red Tarpon Charters again! Thanks Captain Jonathan!
