We always wanted to catch Peacock bass and Captain Diego made that a reality quickly and all day long! He was the best captain you could ask for, kept us informed on what we were doing, friendly, and moved when we needed to move to stay on top of the fish. I joined captain Diego for a 8 hour trip yesterday and boy did we have a blast. We started off the day going for peacock bass and other canal fish on the fly. Sometimes with fly fishing, it's a challenge to get in sync with the guide. My advice is to remain coachable, no matter how much experience you have or where you may have fished before, being open to constructive criticism and honest feedback is critical to being successful especially in waterways you've never fished before. Capt. Diego and I got in sync quickly. I had my cast dialed in after some trial and error and Diego was patient and helpful throughout. He made a recording of my cast for me to look at to remember the adjustments later. We then spent the early evening trolling for tarpon and on our second pass through the area, we hooked up with a 30 incher weighing 15-20lbs. Diego's communication during this battle went above and beyond as he helped me not only hook the fish and fight it for 15 minutes, but bring it right up to the boat. This fish was smart as he kept going under the boat, doing is acrobatic flips and head shakes and at the end when he saw the net, he jumped over it twice and that's when the hook came loose. It was a memorable evening to say the least and I will be back for more. We capped off the evening looking for snakeheads which was a whole different challenge as you have to cast quickly and accurately, pretty much in the dark, lol. I had a bite but old habits of setting the hook too soon got the best of me. I will definitely fish with Captain Diego again and I encourage all of you to do the same. He was super friendly, down to earth, relatable and extremely professional. His gear and bait offerings were top notch as well. Ask him to bring some cuban coffee! That stuff is LEGIT!!! Thanks Captain, I can't wait to come back and fish with you again. Next time we will land that tarpon as well as a snakehead!!! Tight lines my brother! Thanks for all that you do!!

Diego is a great captain! This was our first experience of Florida fishing and Diego got us on to some Peacocks, Mayans and Jaguar Cichlids. His enthusiasm for fishing is unmatched and that was definitely a highlight of the trip. Prior to the day the communication was great. From beginners to seasoned fisherman, I would 100% recommend booking with Diego.

Diego was awesome and we had a great trip together. We caught lots of fish and Diego was very knowledgeable. My son loves fishing and it was a great way to get out and have some time together. My son had the fishing trip of a life time and I'm so glad we went.

Captain Diego is an awesome guide and an ever better dude! Diego was transparent, extremely patient and put in the extra effort to make sure we both got fish. Especially high caliber fish like the almost 5lb peacock bass I reeled up!
