Every summer our family makes the trip to New England, and one tradition we never skip is getting out on the water. We want our kids to experience the same incredible coastal fishing that I fell in love with years ago, and this trip exceeded every expectation. From the moment we stepped aboard, Capt. Rick treated us like lifelong friends instead of customers. His passion for fishing, easygoing personality, and genuine love for sharing the experience made the entire day unforgettable. The highlight came early when my 4-year-old son caught the very first fish of the trip—his first fish ever! Capt. Rick patiently coached and encouraged him every step of the way, creating a memory that neither of us will ever forget. After that, the action never slowed down. It seemed like every time a line hit the water, someone was reeling in another fish. What really sets Capt. His stories, local knowledge, and obvious respect for the fishery added a whole new dimension to the trip. He was constantly attentive, making sure everyone—from my youngest to the adults—was having an incredible time. we had a blast! Capt. Rick and his first mate Justin are awesome! very knowledgeable, patient, and down to earth. I cant say enough good things about them. I will be recommending them to everyone i know and we will def be coming back. my kids, my husband, and I had such a good time and capt. rick was very patient with them. he explained to my youngest how to hold each fish and encouraged him when he was struggling. we caught quite a few fish scup, porgy, stripers, and a dogfish. At the end they cleaned the fish and filleted them for us. they really just went above and beyond. charter them and you’ll see what i mean, you wont be disappointed!

All my kids had the best time. Captain Rick was patient and kind. We caught tons of Sea Bass. Also, my stomach couldn’t handle the seas, but the kids rocked it. Captain Rick was kind to me and took care of the kids while I composed myself (ha). At the end of the trip, Captain Rick cleaned the fish and we had an excellent dinner! We appreciate all Captain Rick did on our trip. We made a ton of memories, and my kids are already planning their next fishing trip. Would recommend On the Edge Fishing trips to anyone looking to learn and enjoy their time in the ocean!

Captain Rick was great - super responsive to my inquiries, organized, and punctual and very knowledgeable of course. He's safety conscious with the kids and made sure we all had fun (and caught a ton!). We appreciated all the little extras - fun facts about the harbor, checking out the shipwreck and yacht, the music and of course the bonus stripers on the dock. Captain Rick was a class act. He was honest in what to expect, took us to a few spots and tried different fishing methods until we found the one that hit. Probably caught between 30-40 fish between the (4) of us that went! Don't hesitate booking with him if you get the chance. Great guy.
