Si vous êtes prêt à vivre une expérience de pêche à Sooke, ne cherchez pas plus loin que Tips Up Sport Fishing Charters. Votre guide pour la journée est le capitaine Eugene Baldwin, ce qui signifie que vous bénéficierez d'années d'expérience en matière de pêche.
Le saumon royal, le saumon argenté, le saumon rose à bosse, le flétan, le sébaste, la lingue-morue et bien d'autres espèces peuvent être trouvés dans ces eaux si vous venez au bon moment de l'année. Le jour de votre sortie, vous pratiquerez probablement la pêche à la traîne et la pêche de fond en utilisant du matériel de pêche légère ou lourde.
Vous souhaitez faire profiter toute la famille de cette activité en plein air ? Les enfants sont absolument les bienvenus ! Assurez-vous de demander si des gilets de sauvetage pour enfants sont disponibles, sinon vous devrez apporter les vôtres. Les collations ne sont jamais une mauvaise idée pour que personne ne devienne grincheux le ventre vide !
Le capitaine Eugene vous accueillera à bord d'un bateau de pêche en aluminium de 26 pieds pouvant accueillir 4 passagers. Il est équipé de downriggers et de tout le matériel essentiel. Il y a des toilettes à bord pour votre confort. Votre capitaine fournira les cannes et moulinets, ainsi que les leurres.
Les sorties sont effectuées avec l'aide d'un premier lieutenant. Un pourboire de 10 à 20 % est d'usage pour montrer votre appréciation de leur travail acharné. Avant de monter à bord, il sera nécessaire d'acheter un permis de pêche local pour tous les membres de votre groupe, y compris les timbres pour le saumon. Ces informations sont généralement disponibles en ligne, ou vous pouvez demander au capitaine. Certaines espèces peuvent être protégées ou nécessiter une étiquette pour les conserver, alors assurez-vous de savoir à quoi vous attendre.
Il est toujours sage d'apporter de l'eau en bouteille, de la crème solaire (non en spray) et des lunettes de soleil. Si vous souhaitez apporter d'autres boissons, demandez simplement.

Captain Eugene was a great captain, knew what he was doing and had a great boat. 30 minutes into the trip and we already had a Salmon on board! Over the course of the day had many other bites while experiencing all sorts of weather changes, Eugene safely navigated all of it. By the end of the day our whole group got a salmon on board and we’re happy to find crab in our traps too! Had quite the feast that night. Would recommend Tips Up charter to anyone!

Half day with Captain Eugene and first mate Jackie

My 15yo son and I showed up with no equipment and NO know-how either. 😆
Eugene and his wife and partner Jackie (7 months pregnant and still fishing like a champ) are both experts and a pair of absolute BEAUTY human beings! They were very patient and kind with their instructions and they shared knowledge freely. We had a fantastic time and I could not recommend them strongly enough. We caught more fish than I even hoped for, and I will definitely book with them again in the future. They are well versed in all fishery regulations as well and will keep you legal too.
Personal note: I need to bring a bigger cooler for all the fish next time!!
Their patient approach to instruction bears mentioning a second time - my son and I were a bit nervous and uncertain at first but their kind and welcoming nature made us feel comfortable very quickly.
They had so much fun teaching my son they offered him a job! LOL
They take younger kids too if you are looking for a charter for the whole family.
Also, if it matters to you (it does to me) their boat is VERY professionally outfitted for charter fishing. But - word to the wise - you might want to buy a boat like theirs afterwards lololol !!! Sign up with Tip’s Up! You will not regret it.

If the above statement is true what’s better than a good day fishing? I honestly don’t know!
Captain Eugene delivered the goods! We had an absolutely fantastic day on the water with him, his first mate and “second” mate to be. They are a great team and worked amazing together to keep us on the fish. They take pride in being safe on the water and their boat is beautiful. We had a very comfortable day on the water, but the best part… We were tips up all day! We caught a great selection of salmon and we all got our limits. I can’t wait to get back out there to do it all over again!

Absolutely fantastic days fishing… Eugene is very knowledgeable of the area & was great with both myself & my son guiding us on what we should be doing to ensure results. We had a mix of Coho / Chinook salmon & managed to catch two salmon over 20bls which made my sons day as it was a personal best for him. I would highly recommend this charter to anyone looking for a days fishing in Sooke.

I highly recommed Eugene and his boat for fishing charter in Victoria. Super nice and knowledgeable guy. We enjoyed his company as much as we enjoyed the fishing experience. Eugene goes far and beyond to make the experience memorable. We got very nice saon that we were excited about and lots of crab too. I highly recommend Eugene for fishing trips.
