Selon la saison, vous pourriez ferrer de l'achigan à grande bouche, du poisson-chat, du pomoxis, du platycéphale et tout ce qui mord. Le jour de votre sortie, vous pratiquerez probablement la pêche de fond en utilisant du matériel léger ou lourd.
Vous pêcherez à bord d'un bateau bass Triton de 20' pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 4 passagers. Il dispose de tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour une journée productive sur l'eau. Votre capitaine fournira les cannes et moulinets, ainsi que les leurres. Les appâts vivants sont disponibles, mais il est bon de vous renseigner à ce sujet pour savoir si vous devrez les attraper vous-même.
Avant de monter à bord, vous devrez acheter un permis de pêche local pour tous les membres de votre groupe. Ces informations sont généralement disponibles en ligne, ou vous pouvez demander au capitaine. Certaines espèces peuvent être protégées ou nécessiter une étiquette pour les conserver, alors assurez-vous de savoir à quoi vous attendre. N'oubliez pas d'apporter de la crème solaire (non en spray), des lunettes de soleil et de l'eau en bouteille. I took my two sons—one in high school, the other in college—on a 4-hour catfishing trip with Captain Jason, and it was an unforgettable experience! Neither of my boys had ever been catfishing before, and Captain Jason made it an incredible first adventure. From the moment we started, he was hands-on, patiently teaching them the ins and outs of catfishing. He showed them how to set up his rigs, shared tips and tricks, and even explained how to safely remove fish from the hook. His enthusiasm was contagious, and he took the time to connect with the kids, asking about their future plans and keeping them engaged.
Captain Jason’s expertise was obvious—he read the radar like a pro and put us right on the fish. We didn’t even have our lines in the water for 5 minutes before the first fish hit! The action kept coming, and the boys were thrilled. They’re already begging to know when we can book our next trip. At the end, Captain Jason went above and beyond, demonstrating how to clean and fillet the fish, which was a great learning moment for all of us.
If you’re looking for a fun, educational, and action-packed fishing trip, Captain Jason is the guy to go with. Highly recommend for families or anyone wanting a top-notch catfishing experience!

Jason comes highly recommended if you are wanting to catch fish and learn. He went above and beyond to find fish but to also teach me so many little things that will make me a better crappie angler. Jason is very knowledgable and will put you on fish. Jason will also jave you fishing in a style that you are very confortable with. I highly recommend Jason as a guide.
