Des espèces comme le barracuda, le cobia, le mérou gag, le thazard-barré (kingfish), le permit, le tambour rouge, la dorade mouton, le requin bouledogue, le vivaneau mangrove, le brochet de mer, et bien d'autres peuplent ces eaux, selon la période de l'année. Lors de ces sorties, vous pourrez pêcher aux appâts vivants et aux leurres artificiels en utilisant du matériel léger ou lourd.
Vous planifiez une sortie en famille ? Les enfants sont les bienvenus ! N'hésitez pas à demander si des gilets de sauvetage pour enfants sont disponibles, sinon, vous devrez apporter les vôtres.
Votre sortie commence à bord d'un bateau de type bay boat Key West de 21 pieds pouvant accueillir 5 passagers. Il est équipé de tout le nécessaire sans lequel aucune machine de pêche ne peut fonctionner. Vous y trouverez cannes, moulinets et matériel qui vous attendent.
Votre permis de pêche pour la journée est inclus dans la prestation du bateau charter, vous n'avez donc qu'à vous réjouir de votre sortie ! Gardez à l'esprit que certains poissons peuvent être soumis à des limites de capture ou à des périodes de fermeture. Si vous ne savez pas à quoi vous attendre, demandez au capitaine.
Vous ne pouvez pas vous tromper en apportant de la crème solaire (non en spray), des lunettes de soleil et de préférence des chaussures antidérapantes. Quelques boissons seront proposées, mais prévenez le capitaine si vous souhaitez apporter les vôtres. L'alcool est autorisé avec modération, à condition d'éviter les alcools forts ainsi que les bouteilles en verre. Quelques collations légères seront fournies à bord.

Caught fish on every cast!

We had a blast! We caught so many fish immediately on the beginning of our trip. We kept enough sea trout to have a family meal and released the rest. We caught a variety fish, including ladyfish, red drum, and snook. When we finished fishing the captain took us on a tour of the island. We even stopped at a sandbar to find sand dollars. The captain was very friendly and helpful. It was very easy to communicate with him and set up our fishing trip. I would recommend this fishing charter to anyone!

Jeff was great - highly recommend!

Jeff was a great captain with all the poles and bait a group of fishermen could ask for. He was patient in teaching us all how to bait our hooks and the reeling approach to minimize lost fish. He even fileted our fish afterward and offered his suggestions how best to cook the sheeps head we caught. He’s a great resource about the island and offered up some fun facts along the way. Between the 40+ fish we caught - it was a great time!

Had an absolutely fantastic day with Captain Leonard. Pick up location was easy to find and we were in the fish within 30 minutes. First part of the trip was in shore and caught Snook, Jack, a flounder and Pinfish which we used later.
After the in shore fishing we headed just off the beach and got into a great school of Spanish Mackerel and Kings. Landed more than 10 Mackerel and 3 Kings. had a large King (on the Pinfish) that ran out a ton of line but broke off.
captain Leonard was attentive, a great conversationalist and knew his waters. will join him again next time we are down.

Fun day of Fishing

We booked our half day fishing trip a week before our trip, We received text and email communications up to the scheduled date. Our Captain was Jeff and he was great! He was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us some great tips and recommendations to improve our stay while visiting the area. He was very attentive, always making sure we had bait and giving us tips throughout the trip. When we arrived at the boat ramp he was already there ready for us to “go fishing”. We were a party of 3 and probably caught 50-60 fish. Jeff also had a great playlist of music for us to listen to on our excursion. Had a blast and would recommend Ratha be Fishin.
