Selon la saison, vous pourriez ferrer du saumon royal, du saumon argenté, de la truite de lac, de la truite commune européenne, de la truite arc-en-ciel (Steelhead), et qui sait quoi d'autre ! Lors de ces sorties, vous pouvez vous attendre à pêcher à la traîne en utilisant du matériel léger ou lourd.
Le capitaine Gerald accueille les enfants à bord, alors sortez-les de leurs écrans et emmenez-les sur l'eau ! Les enfants doivent porter des gilets de sauvetage, alors renseignez-vous pour savoir si la taille appropriée est disponible à bord. Les clients sont encouragés à apporter des collations pour éviter toute fatigue en cours de sortie !
Votre sortie commence à bord d'un cruiser Tiara de 33 pieds pouvant accueillir 4 passagers. 2 passagers supplémentaires sont les bienvenus moyennant un supplément. Il est équipé de downriggers et de tous les équipements essentiels dont une machine de pêche ne peut se passer. Il y a des toilettes à bord pour votre confort. Vous trouverez des cannes, des moulinets et du matériel qui vous attendent, ainsi que des leurres.
Vous aurez l'aide d'un premier lieutenant pour vous mettre sur le poisson. Les lieutenants travaillent dur pour que votre sortie soit réussie, donc un pourboire de 10 à 20 % est d'usage.
Avant de monter à bord, il sera nécessaire d'acheter un permis de pêche local pour tous les membres de votre groupe. Cette information est généralement disponible en ligne, ou vous pouvez demander au capitaine.

As complete rookies, we lost our first four fish, but thanks to their patient coaching and encouragement, we landed the next five. The highlight of the trip was a 26.2 pound king salmon, and we also caught a beautiful lake trout. At the end of the trip, they professionally filleted our catch and packaged everything in Ziploc bags, so it was easy to bring home. Their knowledge, professionalism, and friendly attitude made the experience unforgettable. If you’re looking for a great day on the water with a crew that truly cares, we highly recommend Captain Kent and his wife.

The fishing was icing on the cake. Meeting up with Gerald and heading out to the lake started off great. Gerald has a ton of experience on Lake Ontario and fishing. The first mate was a very knowledgeable person and got things set every fast. The boat was great, Gerald did inform me before we went out the it might be a bumming ride, turn out to be nice. I was the first to catch a fish then my oldest and then my youngest landed one but it came off. Gerald knowledge of the lake kept us going over fish but they weren’t biting for some reason. That’s why they call it fishing and not catching. Over all it was a great experience and me and the boys had an awesome time. I will be setting up another fishing trip with Gerald later on. I highly recommend the Rod Benders boat for a great experience and a fun time. Looking forward another time out on the lake with the Captain and first mate of the Rod Benders fishing charter.

We have basically zero experience fishing except for catching small fish from a dock. Captain Gerry and First Mate Tara were incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and fun to be around. They made our first offshore fishing trip a truly memorable experience. We will definitely be rebooking again soon! I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested.
