Selon les conditions et la période de l'année, vous pourriez ferrer du saumon royal, de la truite commune européenne, de la truite arc-en-ciel (Steelhead), du saumon argenté ou de la truite de lac. Lors de ces sorties, vous pouvez vous attendre à pêcher à la traîne en utilisant du matériel de pêche légère.
Vous planifiez une aventure en famille ? Les enfants sont absolument les bienvenus ! Les enfants doivent porter des gilets de sauvetage, alors prévenez le capitaine si des enfants viennent sur l'eau.
Le capitaine Jordan pilote un bateau de pêche en aluminium Alumacraft de 18 pieds pouvant accueillir 3 passagers. Il est équipé de downriggers, de porte-cannes et de tout l'équipement de pêche à la traîne nécessaire pour une journée productive sur l'eau.
Avant de monter à bord, vous devrez acheter un permis de pêche local pour tous les membres de votre groupe. Cette information est disponible en ligne sur WI GoWild. Pour pêcher dans le lac Michigan, vous avez besoin d'un permis de pêche général ainsi que d'un timbre des Grands Lacs.
Il est recommandé d'apporter de la crème solaire (non en spray), des lunettes de soleil et de l'eau en bouteille. L'alcool est autorisé avec modération, mais essayez d'éviter les alcools forts ainsi que les bouteilles en verre.
Il s'agit d'une sortie encadrée sur le lac Michigan. Tout comme l'océan, le vent affecte grandement les conditions de pêche du lac. Pour des raisons de sécurité, si les vagues prévues sont trop importantes pour la date de la sortie, sachez qu'un report pourrait être nécessaire. Souvent, les modèles de prévision peuvent nous indiquer avec précision à quel point le lac sera praticable 3 à 5 jours à l'avance.

Great trip with Captain Ziegler!

From the minute I booked we had great communication with our captain about wind and weather conditions and very specifically where to meet.
We met Jordan about 15 minutes before our charter and were out on the water perfectly on time. We came home with 2 brown trout and two king salmon. Jordan is SO knowledgeable about where to fish, water temp, lures etc. He was awesome and friendly and outgoing and overall just fun.
At the end of our charter he cleaned and bagged our fish to bring home and gave us suggestions how to prepare it.
I highly recommend fishing with Captain Ziegler.

Morning Salmon Trip

Capt. Jordan is awesome! He was an amazing teacher considering this was my first time salmon fishing on Lake Michigan. He was super flexible and timely and very knowledgeable. Boat was the perfect size for a small party of 2-3. Everything was well organized and set up for us making our trip fun and enjoyable! You can definitely tell he’s got this down to a science! We went trolling for salmon in the morning and were able to catch 6 Kings and 7 Coho for our party of three. Not to mention, he got some amazing photos for us! Definitely recommend his charter service!

Jordan was awesome! He was super friendly and enthusiastic! He explained everything he was doing and answered all of our questions. Fishing was excellent, bite got crazy at sunset and we went home with nearly 30 lbs of filets. At the going rate of salmon, the trip pays for itself in the fish you bring home! Even when the bite was slow we had great time hanging out on the boat and chatting with Jordan. Overall I would 10/10 recommend you book with him. Will 100% be booking again next season!!
