Hi Janeen, thank you for joining us on the March 25, 2026 LionHeart Cabo charter. We were pleased to have you on board and worked hard to provide an enjoyable day of fishing. To clarify the payment: Fishing Booker requires a deposit at booking (which was paid and covers their commission). The remaining balance of $3600 is due for the charter services and may be paid through their platform or directly to the captain. After fishing, you informed the captain and crew that payment had been made through Fishing Booker. As we have never encountered this before, we believed you and allowed you to leave. We then followed up with multiple texts and phone calls. The balance was settled via credit card the next day. Since we do not have a credit card machine on the boat, we had to borrow one to process the payment one day after services were delivered. The local VAT (16% IVA) required by Mexican regulations in Cabo was applied — this is standard. Fishing Booker confirmed the payment was made and then canceled. We have submitted full documentation to their support and are awaiting escalation. It is unfortunate this occurred, as we have never had an issue with same-day payment in all our years operating charters, and we received no direct call to discuss the matter.
