Palapa Tours est un service de sorties encadrées basé sur Ambergris Caye qui propose une gamme variée de forfaits, allant des excursions de plongée avec tuba à la pêche en haute mer. Il est dirigé par le capitaine Chip Myvett, dont l'enthousiasme pour la pêche est contagieux. Lui et son équipage veilleront à ce que vous bénéficiez d'une sortie adaptée à vos besoins et envies individuels.
Vous pêcherez à bord d'un bateau à console centrale Bradley de 30 pieds propulsé par deux moteurs Yamaha de 200 CV qui peuvent le faire atteindre une vitesse impressionnante de 45 nœuds. En plus de tout l'équipement de sécurité et de navigation nécessaire, le bateau est également équipé d'un fauteuil de combat, de tangons, ainsi que d'un vivier pour vos appâts.
Si vous cherchez à capturer du gros poisson, vous devriez absolument découvrir les forfaits de pêche en haute mer du capitaine Chip. Parmi les poissons que vous rencontrerez figurent la Coryphène, le Voilier, et bien d'autres. Ceux qui sont d'humeur à essayer quelque chose de différent peuvent découvrir ses options de pêche au harpon et de pêche sur récif qui sont une excellente option pour capturer beaucoup de Mérous et de Vivaneaux.
Si vous n'êtes pas vraiment intéressé par la pêche, mais que vous aimez une approche pratique, pourquoi ne pas faire de la plongée avec tuba ? Les paysages sont magnifiques à contempler, et vous pourrez voir de nombreux lamantins et hippocampes.
Le prix comprend toutes les cannes, moulinets et accessoires de montage nécessaires, ainsi que des collations légères et de l'eau. we did a half day reef trip with Captain Chip and had a great time. He was very accommodating. We had a group of 11 so we found a 38 foot boat for us. Fishing was a little slow, but we need the most of it. Even me to stop to get stone crabs on the way back.

Our group of 4 had a lovely time out with Captain Chip. Coordinated pick-up close to our hotel and they were on time. The night before we were asked to pay a slightly larger deposit ($100) than anticipated but this was taken from the final bill.
On the boat, Captain Chip took us out to an artificial reef where we caught 21 fish in ~2 hours! He and his crewmate were kind and patient teaching us to fish. Also great company, they were fun people to spend time with. Water provided on the boat!
When we got back to the pier near our hotel, Captain Chip & his crewmate proceeded to filet ALL TWENTY-ONE FISH for us to take home and recommended a recipe to cook fish tacos which we made and they were excellent.
A great day!

My young son and I had a great time fishing for a half day! We caught fish and were able to fish closet to the mangroves. They went above and beyond for us and caught a conch that we are raw on the boat! The boat was in good condition and they listened to what we needed! Highly recommended!

My wife and I first used Chip’s services in 2017 on a snorkeling tour in which we had the unforgettable experience of swimming with nurse shark’s. Chip was professional, provided a wealth of information about the marine life in San Pedro and made sure that my wife and had a great experience.
Chip’s customer centric philosophy left an impression during an excursion in 2017, there was absolutely no doubt who we would call for a fishing tour upon our return to San Pedro. Chip and his assistant Ahmen’s customer service, preparedness and patients were impeccable. My wife caught her first fish and several following, once again Chip provided us with a memory that won’t be forgotten. We would highly recommend using Chip’s services, you won’t be disappointed and get the authentic San Pedro experience with he and his team.

Chip and David gave us a great day overall. Fishing was slow to start the afternoon but we saw a large pod of dolphins which was a great bonus. We didn’t give up and found a seaweed line with the tide coming in and were able to land 4 barracudas. No mahi mahi or tuna on this trip but overall the day was fun. Also got to see one manta ray off the side of the boat. The boat was smaller than expected but handled the seas well and the crew was knowledgeable in the area. The fighting belt was left inshore by accident but otherwise the gear was well equipped. Thanks Chip!
