This is the 2nd trip with Captain Jim / Reel Therapy Charters. we caught our limit on snapper quickly and he asked if there was anything in particular we would like to catch, we thought barracuda would be fun to catch so he got the rods ready and we caught several barracuda’s before our trip ended. He did a great job on making sure we were happy with our outing. And once again, the music was awesome.

The captian did his best, but the weather was against us. We didn’t have the best day, but my son and husband had good times. My son did hook a shark which he hasn’t stopped talking about!
Captain Jim was able to fit us in for a last minute morning trip and we had a great time. We are experienced anglers, but we still learned things from him. He put us on some good fishing and even took the time to try and hunt some tarpon because we told him we would love to see some. He cleaned our catches and pointed us in the direction of a great local spot to cook them up for us making for an excellent lunch. He even let us feed his “pet” goliath grouper - such a fun treat! Thanks Capt!!
We came for Mahi and Tuna and put 13 in the well before noon. The birds...and Eagle eye Gina put us on the action time and time again. So much fun and worth the trip.

Had a great time with my family today on our trip with Jim . I highly recommend Jim to take you out fishing he is a great guy have had two wonderful trips on his boat ☀️
Beautiful, wonderful, fun day fishing with Reel Therapy! Captain Jim and Gina couldn’t do enough for us! We couldn’t bait the hooks fast enough. If the bites stopped hitting for more than 3 minutes, we were off to a new spot to get more fish. Looking forward to our next trip with Captain Jim!

Our family had a blast fishing with Captain Jim n Gina, just simply awesome people! But I have to admit things started off a little rocky, actually 3ft to 4ft swells ROCKY! The sea was angry that day and it wasn't taking prisoners, we actually saw a half sunken Cuban refugee row boat and got pulled over by the fish police! But we'll save that for later! So after battling swells for 20 to 30mins all while standing up and holding onto the port rail (left side) and bimini frame we finally get out to the reef just in time to see the commercial fishermen leaving w/a big thumbs down! So I'm thinking great, we're not catching anything today! But it was sunny and no real wind for the first time in about a week and our 1st charter we booked only 2 days prior had to cancel due to rough seas! So I'm thinking this trip is doomed to FAIL, but little did I know that the Captain was for real when he told me a month prior on an hour long phone call, which was past his usual bed time of 9:30pm sharp, "all I care about was making sure you catch fish and having fun!" I'm like yeah right, anything to secure a sale, whatever! So leys fast forward 3.5 to 4hrs and 4 spots later, including a trip outback and to the bridge twice, we're finally putting keepers in the boat and having a blast! I think we caught just about every different kind of snapper in the ocean and a few other species to boot! We even saw an eagle ray jump 10ft out of the water! So between the rough opening ride, super slow early bite, we finally have dinner, and the local restaurant (Big Pine Rooster) that Capt. Jim n Gina recommended to us really knocked it out of the park, so good! If read nothing else but this, you can't go wrong by choosing Reel Therapy for awesome service and friendliness! Once again, thank you Captain my captain and 1st mate Gina for so much needed "Reel Therapy "!
Jim, and first mate Gina, are great people who make every effort to track down the species of your choice. A great day on the water with good company.

We went fishing out on the reef for 6 hours with Cpt Jim and his wife. We were fishing for yellowtail snapper. They had a really nice boat and equipment. They seemed really knowledgeable. We caught a ton of snapper and they cleaned them for us before we left. I felt like it was a great price point. Overall a great day fishing. However, I cant say I had a great time with Jim and his wife. He didnt say in his phone call his wife would be going. I am unsure if she usually goes on his charters or just came along because he had a boat full of women. I dont know if they just dont have a lot of charters of 20s-something women but I just felt like he spoke to us condescendingly. I really didnt like the way he talked to my wife or to his wife. They kind of argued a bit while we were on our trip. I was just kind of like "if I wanted to hang out with a grumpy older couple who argues a lot Id hang out with my parents". Really just kind of an odd vibe. But it was good fishing.
A great experience from beginning to end Captain Jim was very patient and helpful with a couple of rookies. He was extremely accommodating and we had great fishing. It was wonderful going out of big pine key and really enjoyed our time. Would love to go with Captain Jim again, anytime.

Knows where the fish are - knows how to catch them.
