    (3/4 Day Trip)

    What a day!

The fish tried to hide but Captain Hugo found them. Pulled in a massive marlin then did some bottom fishing for dinner. Then just as we thought we were done and headed back, Hugo spotted a school of Mahi and flipped us around for a little more action. 10/10, can't wait to come back!

Blue Marlin are the stars of big-game sportfishing. These fast, powerful Billfish are famous for blistering runs and dramatic jumps. Anglers target them for the challenge, the teamwork, and the chance to release a true ocean giant. Blue Marlin fishing is about skill, patience, and an unforgettable fight.

Most trips focus on offshore bluewater fishing. Captains often troll artificial lures or rigged baits at varied speeds and depths. Teasers raise fish close to the spread, then a bait or lure seals the deal. Heavy tackle is standard, and many crews use circle hooks to help safe releases. Fly fishing is possible with specialized gear when conditions allow.

Expect an early start, a run to deep structure or current edges, and long watches as you cover water. When a Marlin strikes, the action is fast and intense. Fights can last minutes or hours, so a fighting chair or stand-up harness helps. This trip suits anglers who enjoy adventure and teamwork. Bring sun protection, a hat, polarized sunglasses, boat-safe footwear, snacks, and a camera. If you get seasick, consider motion-sickness remedies before departure.

Rules for Billfish vary by location. Always check local fishing license and permit needs before booking. Review current season status, release guidelines, and harvest rules with your captain. Many crews practice catch and release to support healthy Marlin fisheries. Your captain will explain best practices on board.
