    Great Time with Capt. Tim!

Plaisir en Famille Pêche Après-midi2 adultes

Great boat for fishing- lots of horizontal surfaces for sitting and fishing, stable in the water. Bimini top to keep you cool. Capt. Tim was great- very chill, down to earth, knowledgeable and motivated. We caught over 40 fish, 6 different species. More than enough for family dinner despite having a few a bit too small. Saw some wildlife while on the water, from feeding dolphins to a "cannonball" jellyfish. Beautiful views all around. Would defintely book Capt. Tim again.

Captain Tim gave us an amazing trip!

Aventure Festin de Fruits de Mer A.M.4 adultes2 enfants

We took a seafood feast trip with Captain Tim and had a FANTASTIC time! We started by checking several crab traps he'd set previously and netted four crabs to keep. We caught a good handful of spot fish, then the highlight of the trip - clamming! We had a BLAST clamming on the mud flats and looking at all the wildlife. Captain Tim was great with the kids - just the right about of helpful - and shared a lot of info about what we were doing and why. He definitely knew his stuff and moved us around when the fish weren't biting. We'd absolutely go out with Tim again - the four hours absolutely flew by .

    July fishing trip

Sortie de 4 heures (matin) – Pêche privatisée1 adulte

Trip was good even if fishing success was difficult. Recent weather appears to have had a negative impact on fishing. Several heavy rain storms in the days leading up to the trip dropped excessive rain fall amounts throughout the region. Rain fall totals were in excess of 6 inches. Heavy winds during the storms also contributed to poor water clarity. I have fished with Captain Tim several times in recent years. All those trips were successful and well worth the effort. During this most recent trip, Captain Tim worked hard to find fish moving to many spots to locate cooperative fish, but Mother Nature had other plans.

    Great Trip! Would Book Again.

Sortie de 4 heures (matin) – Pêche privatisée3 adultes

Captain Tim knew where all the good fishing spots were and knew when to keep fishing an area or move to another spot. He did a great job of giving us instructions and sharing his fishing knowledge. The fishing conditions during our trip were not the most ideal, but we still were able to catch some nice fish and had plenty of fish to take home with us. Would highly recommended Captain Tim to anyone who wants to fish regardless of experience level. Thanks Tim!

Tournament Time!

août 9, 2026 • Chincoteague
As the heat of summer bears on, the one fish we can count on is the croaker. For the next three weeks we are helping young anglers get a taste of competitive fishing with the "captain Steves Youth Croaker Tournament" this is a non-profit fish for fun open to all anglers under 16. Currently Chincoteague Bay Adventure anglers are in first and second place. Elsewhere, the redfish have slowed, waiting for trout to arrive, and flounder are still making it to the cutting board. See you out there, Aloha!

Cool Summer, Hot Sharkin'!

juil. 26, 2026 • Chincoteague
As the comfortable cool temperatures continue, the sharks are still biting, with most of the action focused on the inlet and oceanfront. Croakers, spot and whiting provide a steady stream of bait, as well as some excellent table fare. Large redfish are about, providing trophy opportunities. Look for speckled trout and puppy drum to make their appearance in the coming weeks.

They're Called Summer Flounder For A Rea

juil. 10, 2026 • Chincoteague
As we move into the dog days of summer, the flounder are staging a return to nearshore waters. Hopefully the moderate temperatures will continue and the bite will carry into August. Elsewhere, the panfish and shark bite continues at the inlet and nearshore ocean. Trout and puppy drum should begin to show in the next few weeks. July is fully booked but there are openings in August. See you on the water, Aloha!

Tournament Time!

The annual Captain Steve's Flounder Tournament is off to a fast start. Opening day we put one fish on the board. We continue to look for that exceptional doormat. The current leader at 5 1/2 pounds has set the bar high. Tournament runs through this Sunday, May 4th. If you'd like to get in on the fun and competition I do have a few slots open this week. Hope to see you out there, Aloha!

Spring Flounder have Sprung!

avr. 12, 2026 • Chincoteague
Flounder fishing gets an early start as the numbers per trip climb with almost two weeks to go to the big tournament. We will enjoy a few more weeks perhaps of cool mornings and no bugs before the summer rush arrives. See you out there, Aloha!

March Madness! An Early Start For Flound

mars 19, 2026 • Chincoteague
First flounder caught in Chincoteague (or anywhere really) this year, goes to yours truly. The flounder, a solid 19 incher, was caught March 19th, about 10 days earlier than normal. Although it is still cool and the bite is overall slow, Shadrunner is all spruced up and ready to work. April still has a few open dates but now that fish are showing things will book up fast. We'll be looking for large Black Drum and Stripers out by the surf starting next week. So bundle up and get your spring break on, see you on the water. Aloha!
