Growing up on a large dairy farm in western Massachusetts, there wasn't much for my brother and I to do once our chores were done, so we spent the majority of our free time stalking Trout through the mountain streams that flowed across our family's property.
When I moved to Florida, I fell in love with the amazing fishery that is found in Sarasota and the surrounding areas including Tampa Bay, Venice, and Charlotte Harbor. I was very fortunate in that one of the first people I met when I moved here was one of the best guides in the area and over time he taught me the intricacies and tactics for successfully fishing both the inshore and offshore waters of the greater Sarasota area.
Now, many years later the area waterways feel more like home to me than any other place on Earth.

The kids absolutely loved reeling in their own catches. We caught several different kinds and he even cut and cleaned them for us! We would definitely book this trip again!! If you have kids, this trip is a must do!!

She was all smiles for Carl the manatee. The Shark Tooth hunting was an added bonus also. I will happily recommend High Class Hooker Charter to anyone and everyone.

He was very professional and did a great job putting us in spots we’d be successful. 2 of our party were local and were hoping to get some keepers, which they did! We stayed pretty busy the whole morning, plenty of action and catch/release. One of our party caught a nice 30” redfish (released) which was a lot of excitement and provided a nice picture.

The Redfish Action Was Red Hot

Client was looking to catch Redfish so we left the dock and made a run north to an area where I had been seeing very good numbers of Redfish recently. It took a little bit to find the schools of fish but once we did we were able to follow them all morning long catching lots of Reds, as well as some Snook and a few Snapper.

Late summer action

Another great morning charter out of Sarasota. We headed north after leaving the dock and found an area with a large group of juvenile Tarpon rolling along the mangroves. We spent about 30 minutes targeting them but only were able to jump two and they shook the hook both times. So I moved us a little further up the shoreline and started to fish along some structure. For the remainder of the trip we had great action for Redfish, Snook, Flounder and Snappers.

Redfish after Redfish All Morning

This fun family fished out of Venice and had an awesome morning catching great numbers of Redfish. After a quick run from the dock we put the trolling motor down and as we moved along the shoreline immediately started catching fish. For most of the morning it was a great Redfish bite mixed in with a few periods of Snook and Snappers.

Non-stop Action All Night Long

Night fishing can be some of the most fun fishing there is, This trip didn't disappoint at all. We moved south into the famed "Snook Alley" and as we pulled up to the first light we could see over 100 Snook laid up feeding on the outgoing tide, We stayed on that spot for over an hour catching fish after fish. when the bite slowed down finally we moved to another lighted area and caught even more Snook as well as some large Redfish before finally moving to our last stop and caught over 20 Sea Trout that were feeding along a lighted sea wall. This trip was definitely non-stop action and resulted in 2 Inshore Slams (Snook, Trout, and Redfish in one trip).

Juvenile Tarpon Action

We hit the water early and made a short run south to an area that had been holding large numbers of juvenile Tarpon. As we pulled into the area we could see them rolling on the surface almost immediately. We jumped 6 and landed another 4 all on light tackle and then found a few Snook along the mangroves to end out the day.

Fun Family Charter

What a great time with a fun family. Our Family & Children trips are designed specifically to keep young kids reeling in fish all morning and that's what we did. We spent the first couple hours reeling in Redfish, Snook, Snappers and Sheepshead and then spent the remaining time finding fossilized Shark Teeth along a private stretch of beach.
