Big Bull Mahi season is here!! Awesome sunny days following sea weed lines, birds and currents to find these beautiful strong fighting fish. Both cruise and hotel clients have been enjoying the fishing and the post-hurricane weather. In addtion to mahi-mahi, we have also caught wahoo and sailfish.

Great day today on both boats ("Grand Slam" and "Why Not?"). The day was a bit cooler, we are finally over the heat wave and fish are responding immediately. It was mostly cloudy, with a light wind from the east-southeast, we were able to find seaweed lines and birds were active (again). Got some good-sized Dorados on the boat along with blackfin tuna. These fillets are going to Texas!! They will make great dinners for some time.

It was a tough month.....Heatwave hit us hard! Not easy finding fish but still we managed to come back with a catch on every trip. Hard work, persistence, and patience are key, both on our side and on our clients´. Mostly Dorados (Mahi Mahi) but we also caught wahoo, tuna, and a few Billfish while deep sea trolling and mainly snapper on reef/bottom fishing trips. We really thank all of you who came out fishing with us, 46 trips during the month on both boats ("Grand Slam" and "Why Not") We´ll keep giving our best for you to have fun. We are also hoping to add a 3rd boat soon, we´ll keep you posted.

An awesome day of fishing and fun. Since our friends were staying in Playa del Carmen and had to take the ferry to Cozumel, we scheduled to go out at 8am. We had a little bit of wind from the north-north east and a beautiful sunny day. Got out to the channel between Cozumel and the Yucatan Peninsula to look for seaweed lines and birds. After trolling for little while the action started, we all had fun hooking, fighting and finally landing the fish. It is supposed to be wahoo and tuna season, but we can still find mahis around. One more good thing about having a “tropical winter”

We´ve been having winds from the north and north-east, so fishing in deep water has been quite an experience jeje, nevertheless, mahi-mahi and wahoo love the weed lines so we´ve been catching them regularly, have not seen them yet on the tournament sizes but they are big enough to get to your dish. Some of our clients decided to mix fishing with snorkeling (just to take a break from the wavy seas) and others to fish in shore with great results, Barracuda and Mutton snapper make a great fight on light tackle plus a great snapper dinner for the family. Fortunately, Cozumel can give us the opportunity to enjoy more than one activity on the same charter. greetings and keep fishing!!
