We have put a few keeper snapper on board since the season started but not near the numbers we expect. Kings have been MIA. Again we’ve put one really good one over the rail, rest have been unimpressive or nonexistent. Mahi bite has been great. Mingos are steady and regularly over 12”.

The Gulf calmed down a notch overnight, but summer storm mode is still fully engaged around Destin & East Pass. ?️⚡ SE to S winds 10–15 kt, seas 2–3 ft, and scattered thunderstorms mean today is all about timing your weather windows. The bite still looks strong when conditions cooperate: ? Spanish mackerel ? Bonita ? Pompano ? Snapper species ? Amberjack ? Triggerfish ? Cobia ? Destin Gulf update: SE winds 5–10 kt, seas around 2’, water around 78°, and thunderstorms are the big wildcard today. The bite is looking good for Spanish, bonita, pompano, bluefish, ladyfish, snapper, amberjack, triggerfish, vermilion, lane snapper, cobia, and mahi when the weather lets us work.
