Went jigging for sea bass, we were pulling in so many guys were taking breaks. Captain Andy and Scott were top notch. Couldn’t have been a better experience.
Captain Andy and Frank were great! Moved us around to ensure we caught the most fish possible. Left with almost too many fish that Captain was more than happy to filet and tell us how to best cook them. Highly recommend!
The whole process of booking this charter was seamless. I had various questions of which Andy promptly answered. Andy even suggested and arranged for us to adjust the time that we should go fishing due to the forecast. Doing so actually maximized our time fishing. I've been on various charters (and all of them have been very good) but this may have been the nicest boat. There were six of us (beginners and novices) fishing on his immaculate boat. Andy and Scott (the mate) put us on the fish - blitz of black sea bass. We had to pick through a lot of shorts but we were able to keep an average of 8 keepers per person. When the bite would slow down Andy would adjust the location. Then suddenly we heard one of the reels of a first timer peel off screaming. Andy leapt into action and put up a nice fight on such light tackle with what we believe was a Thresher shark. It got to within about 20 feet of the boat but then the line snapped. But it was a nice tutorial for us as to learning how to fight a fish other than just bottom fish. Also on the way back in Scott caught a striper which he gave to us. We will definitely look to book this charter again - next time for Mahi P.S. Both Andy and Scott are very personable guys who looked like they were having as much fun as we were.
This was my family’s first fishing trip. I found Rulthess on the fishing app. On the day of the trip, they made the family feel at ease, and helped with casting, and bait, and also finding more keepers at end of the trip. I would highly recommend using them, if looking for a good trip!
Could not say enough good things about the trip. Caught tons of fish. Crew was amazing. Boat was very nice and clean. Captain stayed in contact all the way leading up. Found the boat very easily. 10 out of 10. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice day on the water fishing.
