Cant say enough good things about captain joe. He is very relatable and a patient man. Takes a genuine interest in his customers. He was always on the go and boy,can he find the walleyes. Our first time to fish on a charter and all four of us caught our max walleye for the day. Captain Joe is extremely knowledgeable and experienced and patient and kind in teaching.

The captain was friendly, we had fun and felt safe! Catching walleye for the first time was a cool experience and the views at sunset were breathtaking!

Captain Joe is very knowledgeable and will put you on fish. One of the best trips i've ever been on.

This was a gift for my husband and son! I split it with a friend who sent her husband and son! What a great experience they all had! They were able to bring home 12 total Walleye, 6 for each family! My son had never been on a charter before and all he wanted was to bring home a fish and eat it! He was thrilled with the results of both! The boat was great and the captain very knowledgeable! We will be repeat customers for sure! Thank you for a wonderful and memorable experience!

Highly recommend! I had a great time on the water with my teenage son and his friend. Captain Sloppy Joe was professional, punctual and showed us the ropes! Caught several fish. Boat was top notch! He recommended a close cleaning station and some walleye recipes. Will definitely charter again soon!

Captain had lots of knowledge about the area, he was also very patient and friendly, he got us involved and made our fishing trip engaged and enjoyable. We caught close to our limit and some really descent size one's. Overall highly recommended charter service in the area, you wouldn't be disappointed!

My son and I have been going to Vermillion every year since he was born but this time our 15 year old kid wanted to do something different. A fishing Charter! So we look at reviews, prices and locations and found Captain Sloppy Joe. It turned out to be a memorable Event. There was no rest on the boat! The captain had us catching fish through the 4 plus hours on the boat. We caught 11 legal sized Walleye(one short of the Max) and a perch. We caught many more fish but they were here too small(walleye)—you don’t eat them(huge sheephead) and a few big Catfish. So we were always reeling in something. The trip was really amazing. The captain did so much work to make our trip enjoyable. I don’t think I even got my hands dirty. We had 6 poles at various depths on the charter so there was really no down time. There was also something to do or something to reel in! The captain took us to some jackpot areas and away from other boats so he certainly knew were to go. He was also super fun/had a great personality and really interacted with us. He gave us some great pointers, give us some history and facts about Vermillion and fishing that I had no idea about. I booked this trip mainly due to the reviews and hopefully this review will give you confidence to book with Captain Sloppy Joe! The boat is small enough that if it hits waves…:you will feel it. Outside that…really no issue

Booked this trip during some downtime during a 4 day 12U baseball tournament. Capt. Brody was accommodating as far as the schedule. We went out 5pm-9pm and was up front that the water would be a “little rough”. We caught a decent amount of fish and the water eventually calmed down. Overall, (2) 12 year old boys had a great fishing experience on Lake Erie. Couldn’t be happier, with the trip, the Captain or the experience.
