Disclaimer: I like to paint the full picture so if you’re not one for reading and all you need to hear is that this charter is the best choice, then here you go! Look no further, Fetched Up Charters is the one for you! Now to the juice... Capt. Leo took me in and treated me as if I was his own mate while at the same time a student to his expertise. I’m emphasizing this because that type of cohesiveness between a captain and his mate, never mind a captain and his charter client (who he’s known for all of 10 minutes before leaving the dock!) is unheard of and something that will bring me back to Fetched Up Charters again and again. As an avid and lifelong fisherman, I have experienced many captains on boats of all sizes and I can tell you one thing. Capt. Leo has it dialed in. Don’t let the size of his boat fool you, with 2 rods off the kite and another 2-3 rods off the other side of the boat we were covering plenty of ground! It’s not the boat nor the rod that catches the fish, it’s the years of experience, trial and error, and if you’re a real angler, countless failures, that make someone a true fisherman. May 31, 2021, however, was no failure! While on a 3/4 day (6hr) afternoon charter, Capt. Leo carefully navigated myself and my (and she’ll kill me for saying this but) fishing novice girlfriend, through Haulover Inlet safely and smoothly, and after a 20 minute rip out to the fabled “numba’s” he had us both, lines tight, hooked up on some of the biggest blackfin tuna I’ve ever seen! All in all, we caught (5) 25-30lb Tuna, (1) healthy Mahi Mahi, and oh yeah... an 80lb sailfish! My first sailfish! All I can say is what a day, a day that will go down in the books and that I hope to experience many many times again! Thank you Captain Leonardo for showing my girlfriend and I what South Florida fishing is all about and for giving both of us an experience we’ll never forget! If you made it this far, thanks for reading! Now stop overthinking and book the damn trip! You will not regret it! Stats: Kat —> 2 Tuna, 1 Mahi Mick —> 3 Tuna, 1 Sail Doesn’t matter the skill level, if you’re willing to listen Capt. Leo will teach you how to catch BIG fish!
Capt Lombera did a great job putting us on the fish. We started the morning drifting for Tarpon in Biscayne Bay. Which I had a distance release of one and brought a second in the 100 pound range to be leadered and released at boatside. We then went on to liveline pilchards at the various bridges along the intercoastal waterway having good success with Jack Crevalle. The trip ended working the jetties and open water beaches of North Miami where we did well on a school of large Jacks with multiple hook ups and releases. The Captain knows his water and worked to put us on the fish, his boat was equipped with excellent tackle and for a smaller boat it gave a smooth and comfortable ride. I would highly recommend this charter and would be happy to book with the Fetch Up again.
Capt Leo is an awesome guy. Super nice, and very knowledgeable. He took my wife and I out on a tarpon trip last night for her birthday and our anniversary. We spent 5 min getting to our fishing location, and within another 5 min, we were hooked into a 120+ lb tarpon. I mean, you can't get any better than that. 5 tarpon caught total. Best was well over 150 lbs. Massive fish... Took about an hr to get to the boat We're beat up from the trip and couldn't be happier. Highly recommended. Thanks Capt Leo.

Cpt Leo was a great charter captain that spent every minute of the day trying to make sure we caught fish. We caught multiple fish - Mullet Snapper, Mangrove snapper, Grouper, Sharks, and he even helped us get a beautiful tuna on while kite fishing. He had multiple types of live bait and we fished in every way possible- from resting at anchor, drift fishing, kite fishing - he worked for us to make sure we kept catching fish. He does not have a huge fancy boat- what he has is a boat that is capable of fishing in many different ways and he is an expert in all of them. It was a fishing trip rather than a long boat ride out and back with a couple of hours of fishing hoping to get lucky as most charters end up being. I highly recommend this charter and Cpt Leo to anybody that wants to go fishing, catch fish, and have a great day on the ocean with a knowledgable and experienced captain. I am more than happy to provide a direct reference and recommendation to anybody that wishes to contact me and will most certainly look up Cpt Leo and Fetched Up Charters on my next trip to the Miami Beach area.
Captain Leo is amazing. He was super friendly definitely stepped my game up. He took us to the best spots. We caught 4 different species and over 16 fish. I can’t recommend him enough. Thanks for the best day Captain!

Decided to head out to and get in on the mullet run action with Capt. Leo. As soon as I was welcomed aboard to a blacked out livewell I knew I was in for some action. We fished the late afternoon and into the night with non stop action from snook and tarpon. We landed 2 tarpon over 100lbs and decided to switch up tactics. As the evening approached the action continued, Capt. Leo decided to switch things up and get some shots with the long rod. Switch spots and shortly after we were throwing flies at dock lights for snook and tarpon. We did hook quite a few fish but couldn’t get them to stay hooked long enough to get them out of the docks (or wear through the leaders) on the fly rod. I would strongly recommend fishing with Capt. Leo wether it’s inshore or offshore he his extremely knowledgeable of our South Florida fisheries. His vessel is well equipped and has ample room to fish comfortably. I hope to get back aboard soon and make some drags scream.
Captain Leo is a friendly, knowledgeable fisherman. I learned some new tricks, picked up a few tips, and caught some great fish today. No, really, the biggest fish I've ever caught. Thanks to FETCHED UP CHARTERS!!!!
We did a 6 hour inshore with Leo at Miami. Leo is nice and very welcoming. The first hour of trip is action packed. We hooked up a Jack and a giant Snook(Snook break off, it outpowered me lol....). The rest of the trip was slow, the fish weren't biting. Would come back again with Leo, it was fun hanging out with him on water.
Great experience, Cap. Leo is a fantástic guide
We had an awesome time fishing with Capt Leo. Coming down from Georgia we weren't sure what to expect but he exceeded anything we imagined. We caught snooks, Jacks, Snappers, and a huge African Pompano. The boat was immaculate and organized and his direction was just what we needed to get on the fish! Already have our second trip book and cant wait!
