Reef & Wreck Fishing aboard the Dauntless 

My wife, son and I did a half day charter with Janis. She was great - very knowledgeable, skilled, patient and fun to fish with. Her boat is well suited for fishing and was well maintained with good shade for a hot sunny day. In just a few hours we caught Mahi, Grouper, Yellowtail Snapper and other fish. We have done many charters over years and she was one of our favorites. We will definitely rebook with the her next time we are back in the Keys!

Janis is amazing doewnt to earth and a passion for the fishing! ahe made my bucket list happen !!

We went with our two boys (12 and 10) and Captain Janis was awesome working with them and teaching them about every step of the process. I could not recommend this trip more.

It was a last-minute booking since the last charter was canceled at the last minute. Captain Janis and Siba were amazing! My husband only fished while I was chasing my son from chasing Siba. I won't recommend parties with kids because of Siba, kids are inquisitive. We did not snorkel for whatever reason. I wish we would have had the chance to snorkel but was not offered the opportunity. Captain Janis had a nice boat, communicative, and friendly.

My active duty, sailor daughter, personally picked Capt Janis for our snorkeling & fishing charter. Women supporting women in a male dominate field. Let me tell you! Capt Janis did NOT disappoint! From the minute we booked our trip with her, she messaged us, immediately answered questions that we had, and kept full communication with us until we arrived on her boat. She suggested that we snorkel first (which we originally wanted at the end) but it ended up being the best decision for us (Capt knows best) Fishing started out slow, but Janis worked her butt off to help us get some bites! Moving locations, trying different poles, bait, etc. Then our rods were on fire! We had the best day on the water! Janis really knows her stuff, and her first mate Siba was the cutest ever! She definitely has her sea legs and living the life! We would absolutely take this charter again, and recommend this charter to anyone looking to have a safe, fun, family day! Thank you Janis, Siba, and The Dauntless for a perfect family day together.

This was a dynamic reef fishing trip. Janice was highly attentive, informative and utilized her depth of fishing knowledge to teach a seasoned Angler some new tricks. We caught several different kinds of fish, mahi, yellow fin snapper and grouper. The boat offered shade when needed and there is a porta potty on board, both of these options are a plus when going on an all day trip. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to enjoy a day on the water and catch some fish!

We booked the 6-hour afternoon trip on the Dauntless with Captain Janis on 5/12/22. We loved the flexibility of being able to book on short notice and with an afternoon start time, and Janis was very open to extending the trip if we wanted. I appreciated that she provided clear instructions and guidance both for onboard safety and fishing techniques. She took us to several fishing spots based on where the fish were biting and we caught a variety of fish, which kept the day interesting! We caught a few small yellowtails, grunts, baby groupers, an eel, a few angelfish, a slippery dick fish (that none of us had ever seen before!), and a spiny dogfish shark that just wouldn’t leave us alone so we caught him at least 3 times! Janis is clearly an experienced angler and loves what she does. Her dog Siba was onboard with us, and she was so sweet and well behaved. The boat was clean and well equipped. I can’t think of anything I’d change about the experience. Overall, it was a fun, chill day of fishing and we enjoyed every minute! Thanks so much, Janis!

Had a great day out on the water. Caught lots of snapper, some Porgy and a few unidentifiables! Saw some big sharks (Had to move again cuz they scared the fish away) Also hooked a few monsters, but our abilities didn't enable us to land them! Did have a few 20-40 minute battles though! Capt Janis is knowledgeable and way laid back. Her first Mate Siba does require a scratch or two behind the ears, but that was no problem for us! The Boat is very comfortable if you have a person or two who is not fishhing and just wants to hang out. That is something most of the boats on this site do NOT have. We Highly recommend Capt. Janis and Dauntless and we will most certainly book again.
