Captain Ryan is the real deal if you're looking to learn how to catch big trout and learn how to fish the flats. I've been trying artificials for several years here and never had all that much luck, but after a couple hours with him, I was finally landing the hook set on bigger and bigger trout. The only reasons I didn't land a 25 inch plus fish today was me and my gear letting me down, as I had plenty of opportunities. Thankfully, an overslot redfish decided to take pity on me and gave me the easy hookup and fight I was looking for! I would not hesitate to recommend Captain Ryan in the future and I plan on fishing with him again the next time I'm in Corpus Christi or Port Aransas!

Ryan went above and beyond what was simply required. We had folk in our group with different fishing experiences and skills. Ryan was patient and instructional with all. Giving extra attention to that had never bay fished while allowing those with more experience oppurtunity to learn new tips and tricks. Not an easy juggling act. But Ryan pulled it off all while be courteous, fun and professional!! Have used various guides over the years. This was by far best experience ever!!! This was our very first time ever doing something like this. Let me tell you, IT WAS WORTH IT!! Captain Ryan made sure we felt comfortable and explained everything to us up front and answered any questions we had. We caught some pretty big fish(I think they were big) and a few small ones that we put back in the water. He took us to several spots to make sure we caught as much as we could. He was very professional and knew exactly where he wanted to take us. We will definitely be booking with him again! Thank you Captain Ryan for the memories we made yesterday.

Within a few minutes of fishing my son had a BIG Tarpon on the line and the battle began. He had us on Tarpon, Red Fish, and King's. Capt Ryan is extremely good with kiddos and exhibits a lot of patience with them learning how to fish. We are planning on booking with him again in the future. My first "wading" fishing experience here with Capt Ryan! He is an excellent teacher & very knowledgeable about all aspects of fishing!! He was patient & worked hard to make sure the day was successful! It was a wonderful day on the water that I will never forget! Capt. Booked a trip with Captain Ryan in June 2023. He took my twin boys and nephew on a trip of a lifetime. My boys are hooked on saltwater fishing but have never caught a bull red. This was a bucket list item for my family. Ryan got us on the bull reds almost immediately. He was patient, kind and so encouraging as the boys got hooked up with these beautiful fish. This trip will be a core memory for my guys and I am so glad we chose Ryan. We caught a variety of fish, had some good laughs and learned some great fishing tips.
