Rett sør for Myrtle Beach, på den nedre enden av det som kalles 'Grand Strand,' ligger farvannene ved Georgetown, SC., Winyah Bay, North Inlet og Santee-deltaet. Dette området er det nordlige utgangspunktet langs den kystnære South Carolina Lowcountry for et stort og sammenhengende estuarsystem av kystfloder, bukter, sund og bekker blant vidstrakte marskområder med urørte naturskjønne omgivelser.
Alle holder og huser liv over og under overflaten. Kystfiske-muligheter finnes i overflod i disse lite trafikkerte, roligere farvannene. Fra bakvanns-fiske etter Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flyndre og mer i marskene, til de åpne buktene og innløpene som i sommer- og tidlig høstmånedene også gir mulighet til å fiske etter Tarpon, stor Svart trommefisk og andre arter. Dette området er et paradis for kystfiske, og heldigvis er det kaptein Gregs 'kontor!'
Familier som elsker å fiske sammen vil være glade for å vite at barn fra 5 år og oppover er velkomne om bord! Det anbefales å ta med flaskevann, snacks, brus/drikke (ikke glass), solkrem (ikke spray) og solbriller.
Turen foregår om bord i en 21-fots buktbåt med plass til 4 passasjerer. Den har alt du trenger for en produktiv dag på vannet. Kapteinen sørger for fiskekort, stenger og ruller, samt agn/kunstagn og kjølebokser med is.
Sikkerheten til kundene hans er høyeste prioritet! Deretter kommer at tiden dere tilbringer sammen er en hyggelig opplevelse. Alt vil bli gjort for å sikre at alle har det gøy og kjenner napp på linen!

My son enjoyed every minute from catching bait and spotting alligators to catching several redfish. We ended the morning with a 42” red which was the perfect ending for a great morning.

5-timers tur (AM) den May 23, 2022While I’ve never booked a trip online, I believe it’s imperative that I share some photos and dialogue of my time on the water with Fish Skinny. Captain Greg is simply a younger version of an Old Salt. He knows the water, the channels, the best fishing grounds, and also the history of the areas he fishes. There is never a dull moment on his boat. He strives to give everyone the most opportunities to “sore mouth some big fish”. He makes sure everyone on board is safe, hydrated, costed with sunscreen lotion and baited for the bite. My family and I have spent many hours on the water with Captain Greg and we’ve never been “skunked”. If you don’t want to catch any fish, then don’t book a trip with him. But if catching fish is your thing, please make sure you do book a trip and see for yourself…Captain Greg is all about ensuring your get the best bite for your buck! Can’t wait for the next opportunity to step onboard his boat and catch some nice fish!

We have learned so much about fishing the intercoastal regions of North and South Carolina and the fish species we have sought. Not only has he grown our experiences in fishing, he has a vast knowledge of the area and its history which he openly shares in a fun, colorful and exciting manor. As a Captain and guide he has been the most productive (in catching fish), open, honest and personable guide we have had in our many fishing excursions to many areas between Ohio and Florida. We will continue to make our father/son memories with Captain Greg and his Fish Skinny charters for years to come. Thank you Captain Greg Holmes!

He genuinely loves the outdoors and will do everything to make his clients fishing experience exactly what they are looking for. If you are a novice and want to learn different aspects of fishing basics he will demonstrate in a patient and relaxed manner. I cannot stress enough how great he is with the younger anglers! If your more experienced there will as well be tips and tricks he can convey. Every trip we have had with Captain Greg always left us feeling appreciative of the experience.

Captain Greg Holmes was born and raised on this waterway and his local knowledge of the Carolina fishery is top notch. He works hard to put you on fish and has the patience to teach you how to catch them once he puts you on the fish. I have over 20 trips in the books with him and have nothing but great memories of those days. Know the "skinny" to get bit!

My 6 year old son and I went out with Captain Greg and it was fantastic. My son enjoyed every minute from catching bait and spotting alligators to catching several redfish. We ended the morning with a 42” red which was the perfect ending for a great morning.
Captain Greg was a great Captain, changing how we catch fish (artificial lures vs live bait), moving when fishing slowed, all to ensure the best opportunity. He worked to catch our bait at the beginning of the trip so we would have options. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Mainly caught red fish and trout. Great trip!

I remember the first trip you gents had booked with me, was set for an afternoon run in July, got my morning trip in and the summer heat had the pm scattered rain and storm clouds blooming. If you recall I was somewhat hesitant about leaving the dock but after waiting it out for a bit and knowing young Kyle really wanted to go we headed out. Turned out to be a pretty good afternoon of "catching". After seeing the smiles on his face upon getting his first and subsequent reds I was glad we waited it out and got it done! Thanks for being such loyal clients through the years. We've had banner days when they were "biting like bulldogs" and days when it was a bit of a grind.... don't know til you go. Been my pleasure to have a dad/son duo like y'all aboard and to see Kyle growing into a good young man, Kudos to you and mom!!
