Strawberry Island Fishing Charters 

We had a great day out with Strawberry Island Fishing Charter in Tofino. We caught some solid salmon and halibut, and the crew knew exactly where to take us. The co-captains Luc and Joel were excellent and kept things light and fun, joking about showing us the big ones — and they definitely delivered. They gave clear instruction, knew the species well, and helped us land everything confidently. Super knowledgeable and easy to be around. They also took care of processing and packing our catch, which made the whole experience easy from start to finish. Overall, a smooth, professional, and fun trip. Highly recommend if you're fishing in the Tofino area.

What a great day of fishing! My wife and I went out on June 22nd and the weather was not the best some large swells but captain Joel made the most of it. Navigating through a lot of debris Luc kept our lines clean and about 2 hours in we doubled up with 2 large salmon! Reels screaming Joel and Luc walked us through making sure we didn’t miss a fish of a lifetime. Unfortunately one salmon got off but We landed a 25lb King! She was a beaut! About an hour later we got a smaller 7lb Coho (wife redeemed herself) Even on a slow day of fishing the crew managed to put fish on the boat! We also saw a humpback breach completely out of the water and seals lurked waiting for an easy meal. Great way to see tofino from the water.

Luc & Joel are amazing captains, super knowledgeable and welcoming not to mention hilarious.We went for lingcod and came back successful and had an unreal day on the water. We went out on their boat the Screamin’ Eagle. It was super comfortable, lots of room and very organized. If you’re thinking of booking with Strawberry Island Fishing Charters I highly recommend it. We can’t wait to be back!

Luc and Joel never gave up. We ended up with 10 fish between myself and my kids. The gave us a bit of everything the west coast could offer. Changing locations for different species and constantly changing up gear to make the best of our trip. My kids had a great time and they gave the upmost time patience and respect to my family. I would highly recommend Strawberry Island.

Absolutely fantastic day with captain joel and luc. They took us to the hot springs first thing in the morning which is a great way for start the day and wake up get to take a 30 minute walk to a beautiful hot spring, very relaxing nice way to reconnect with earth. Than went fishing joel and luc are amazing fishing teachers as well as very funny and overall great to be around.

I love getting the opportunity to enjoy the ocean with these two incredible fishermen! Well equipped and knowledgeable, it’s easy to feel at ease, comfortable and grateful on their boat. There’s always some sort of magic in being out fishing, and the epic underworld of the ocean is so exciting to experience with people that are so good at what they do. Always open minded, embrace opportunities to learn more and fun to be around! Always a good time, especially when the lines get tight. Thank you guys, I love fishing with you!!

Had a great day with Joel and Luc. Went for Lingcod and had one on within seconds of getting to the spot. Knowledgeable, fun and accommodating I would highly recommend taking a charter with Strwaberry Island charters

The guides, Luke and Joel, and the island staff are fantastic. I have been coming back for about ten years, and they always do their best to accommodate me and my friends. They always do their best to find fish, from crabbing to prawning to salmon, cod, and halibut. Man, I even slayed tuna with these guys. What an Experience of a lifetime.
