Avhengig av sesongen kan du få Kongelaks, Sølvlaks, Kanadarøye, Brunørret, Regnbueørret (Steelhead), og hvem vet hva annet! På disse turene kan du forvente trolling med lett fiskeutstyr eller tungvektsutstyr.
Kaptein Gerald ønsker barn velkommen om bord, så få dem vekk fra skjermen og ut på vannet! Barn må bruke redningsvester, så sjekk om riktig størrelse er tilgjengelig om bord. Gjestene oppfordres til å ta med snacks for å holde energien oppe midt i turen!
Turen begynner om bord på en 33' Tiara cruiser med plass til 4 passasjerer. 2 ekstra passasjerer er velkomne mot et tillegg i prisen. Båten har downriggere og alt det nødvendige utstyret som enhver fiskebåt trenger. Det er toalett om bord for din bekvemmelighet. Du vil finne stenger, hjul og fiskeutstyr klart til bruk, sammen med sluk og agn.
Du vil få hjelp av en styrmann til å finne fisken. Styrmannen jobber hardt for å gjøre turen din vellykket, så et tips på 10–20 % er vanlig praksis.
Før du kommer om bord, må alle i gruppen din kjøpe en lokal fiskelisens. Denne informasjonen er vanligvis tilgjengelig på nett, eller du kan spørre kapteinen.
Ikke glem å ta med solbriller, solkrem (ikke spray) og vann på flaske. Hvis du ønsker å ta med andre drikker, er det bare å spørre. Alkohol er tillatt i moderate mengder, men prøv å unngå brennevin samt glassflasker.

As complete rookies, we lost our first four fish, but thanks to their patient coaching and encouragement, we landed the next five. The highlight of the trip was a 26.2 pound king salmon, and we also caught a beautiful lake trout. At the end of the trip, they professionally filleted our catch and packaged everything in Ziploc bags, so it was easy to bring home. Their knowledge, professionalism, and friendly attitude made the experience unforgettable. If you’re looking for a great day on the water with a crew that truly cares, we highly recommend Captain Kent and his wife.

The fishing was icing on the cake. Meeting up with Gerald and heading out to the lake started off great. Gerald has a ton of experience on Lake Ontario and fishing. The first mate was a very knowledgeable person and got things set every fast. The boat was great, Gerald did inform me before we went out the it might be a bumming ride, turn out to be nice. I was the first to catch a fish then my oldest and then my youngest landed one but it came off. Gerald knowledge of the lake kept us going over fish but they weren’t biting for some reason. That’s why they call it fishing and not catching. Over all it was a great experience and me and the boys had an awesome time. I will be setting up another fishing trip with Gerald later on. I highly recommend the Rod Benders boat for a great experience and a fun time. Looking forward another time out on the lake with the Captain and first mate of the Rod Benders fishing charter.

We have basically zero experience fishing except for catching small fish from a dock. Captain Gerry and First Mate Tara were incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and fun to be around. They made our first offshore fishing trip a truly memorable experience. We will definitely be rebooking again soon! I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested.

Captian targeted king salmon as I asked and we caught some nice kings and steelhead, they really know their stuff and how to provide a good memorable trip, I highly recommend Rod Bender charters!

We had an amazing time fishing with Captain Kent and his wife. They’ve been doing this for over 20 years, and it shows.
