More than three decades of stalking the fresh waters of the state have taught him where the best hidden fishing spots are, as well as all the tricks on how to get the local fish.     Outstanding in every way. He put us on bluegill within minutes of hitting the water. Easygoing, knowledgeable of the area. It was an added bonus that he came with extra equipment when the boys wanted to finish the trip on bass.

    August fishing trip

    My wife and I had a great trip. We caught our limit of crappie in 4 hours Most around 12 inches. We then headed to a trophy Blue Gill late in the Afternoon. We had to work hard because a cold front had moved through but we manage to find some nice 10 inch fish and had a wonderful time enjoying the scenery and learning a lot about the Minnesota fishery and the area from Garrett.
