I grew up fishing the Umpqua River and local lakes as a kid. I started fishing the ocean at 20 years old started running a Bayliner trophy out taking friends and family. I fished the ocean for about 22 before becoming a professional guide. I like meeting new people talking to them and teaching them how to fish

    Mark er fantastisk.

    Mark sørget for en så jevn tur som mulig gjennom noen røffe sjøforhold. Det tok litt tid, men han holdt oss på jakt etter fisk hele veien. Vi fisket hardt selv med en sjøsyk kone om bord. Han strakk til og med tiden for å sørge for at vi dro hjem med fisk. På vei inn ga han oss noe krabbe fra teinene sine ved innløpet. Vi spiste virkelig godt på den krabben. Han filéterte også kveita for meg slik at den var klar til kjøleboksen. Book denne mannen! Du vil ikke angre. Takk, Mark!!!

    Mark did everything in his power to make sure that we came home with fish in the cooler. We caught 3 amazing salmon, and since we didnt limit out he ended up throwing fresh crabs straight from the pot in as well. He is extremely knowledgeable, and has great equipment that is well taken care of. I wouldn’t dream of booking with anyone but Mark if I was ever in the area again!

    Captian Mark was amazing! he had great communication before we ever took off. there was nk questions on where to meet, what to have or what we needed to do! on the boat he had a great attitude, funny jokes and a great experience!! he will be our go to guy from here on out!

    Great trip!

    8-timers tur – Rockfish • 2 voksne

    Captain Mark had us on fish and we quickly caught our limit! He was extremely patient and made the trip an enjoyable experience. Will definitely book again when we come back next year. We had a blast! Thank you!!

Rock fishing trip was great

Took some clients out on Saturday for rock fishing, we got are limit in about 4 hours. Got a couple of bonus ling cod and two bonus salmon pulled 36 Dungeness crab to wind up the trip

Great! 4th of July trip

Took four clients out for a combo trip rockfish, salmon and crab. Got 25 rockfish plus four ling cod and 52 crab. Hooked and released 18 salmon. No keepers

Rock fish bite

Jun 18, 2025 • Winchester Bay
Took some clients out of coos Bay Oregon and the rock fish bit was hot. The clients had there limits and mine in less than a hour. They wanted to get some ling cod so we spent 3 hrs catching ling cod the bite was a little bit slower but still got 5 keepers. In all wjth what we threw back we cought about 60-70 fiah all together.

Pink fin perch fishing

Jun 11, 2025 • Winchester Bay
Clients booked a ocean salmon trip. I told him conditions would not allow us to get out. He replied they were down for any type of fishing that was in season. I told him there were pink fin perch in the river and a chance of salmon in the river. We met at the dock at 5:30 in the morning by 8:00. We had our limits of perch and I asked him if they wanted to try for salmon in the river. They replied they were down for it. About an hour into the troll. We hooked up on a Chinook stripped a lot of line. It looked like it was a good size fish. It ran underneath the boat. Before i could get the client to hold the rod down and out. The line ran across the bottom of the boat and snapped our 50 lb braid. The clients have never hooked a salmon before. It seemed like they're happy to just have one on the line.

Went out Sunday morning for rockfish did long leader. We got our two limits of rockfish in an hour and a half . long leader a rockfish you're allowed 10 per person on certain species. It's a good way to stock up the freezer
