Captain Fred is a local who has been fishing in Minocqua for 25 years. He decided to make a living out of his passion and got his fishing license in 2017. For him, the best part of the job is being able to teach new techniques to customers and see them get better at it. He loves being on the water every day.

First Class Fishing Guide

Fred took us ice fishing and had everything setup and ready for us. We caught lots of fish and he was very helpful throughout the adventure. I can’t wait to fish with him again!

Fishing for Crappies on Lac Du Flambeau Flowage

We had a guided fishing trip with Fred Palermo, Off the Hook Fishing Adventures, we started out the morning a little slow in the first two spots, the Crappies weren’t cooperating, Fred took us to a third spot and the action really picked up. My grandson was the star of the day catching a lot of nice one, he had the prime spot in the bow of the boat. Overall we caught about 40 fish, we took home 20 really nice 11” or larger crappies, overall a wonderful day fishing.

Fred was great-excellent communication before and during our trip. He was extremely patient and kind to my two inexperienced children (10 & 9). We caught plenty of Crappie and had an awesome Northwoods fishing experience thanks to Fred.

Very knowledgable on different fish and knows all the lakes! Highly recommend and will be using Fred again!

Været kjøles jevnt ned og Muskellunge er offisielt det store spillet i byen. Hvis du er heldig, kan denne måneden til og med gi en trofé-fangst – så lenge du har det som skal til. Alternativt er Småmunnabbor og Crappie-fisket også bra.
