I was raised in VA Beach, VA. As a youngster, I fished around lakes and the ocean. This area would be the location where my love for water took place. Maybe not the time when I was 5 and my dad threw me in the ocean, by my ankles, to teach me to swim. It didn't take long to get a bodyboard and a surfboard under my arm. Having 2 older brothers really helped when going on fishing adventures early in life. We came up with all kinds of reasons to leave the house and go surfing or fishing. It wasn't long till we started heading south, to the uncrowded beaches of the Outer Banks of NC. This is where I live now, with my 2 daughters Lily and Maddy, along with my wonderful wife Erin. My two older brothers live nearby and we have 7 children between the three of us to enjoy raising here on the beach. After learning the local ways of fishing techniques, I became passionate about taking friends fishing at different times of the year. I received my Captain's license soon after and never looked back!

    Aaron skapte enorm begeistring i hele gruppen vår på 5. Etter å ha startet turen på riktig måte med en fiskers bønn, hadde vi en tidlig morgenavgang på speilblankt og vindstille vann. Aarons båt er perfekt for sund eller dyphavsfiske, og samtalen hans var underholdende med fiske- og surfhistorier som holdt håpet i live. Alltid optimisten ledet han søket til vi slo til, ørret ledet fangsten etterfulgt av noen respektable svart trommefisk som, grillet til perfeksjon mens solen gikk ned, ble til et deilig middagsmåltid. Takk Aaron for dagen. Håper å komme tilbake snart.

    Kaptein Aaron var fantastisk og veldig informativ. Vi hadde det kjempebra. Det var en absolutt nydelig dag og vi fikk masse fisk! Vi rakk til og med siste dag av flyndresesongen og fikk 5 stykk. 😊 10/10 vil anbefale og kommer absolutt tilbake! Tusen takk igjen, kaptein!

    Jeg kan ikke få sagt nok godt om turen vår med kaptein Aaron og Ross. Fra start til slutt var alt førsteklasses. Båten var ren, komfortabel og godt utstyrt, og Aaron visste tydelig alle de beste plassene. Vi hadde en fantastisk dag fylt med latter og sol (og litt vind:)

Hva er det som biter med Carolina Sunrise / Cobiakiller i Wanchese

The fish are here and lots of fun to be had!! Whether your looking at taking the kids or setting a record, we can get you hooked up. I work with a small group of friends that are more than capable of showing you a great day! Speckled trout, drum, flounder, mackerel, cobia and more are biting now. Give us a shout this summer! We started the afternoon trip casting at Speckled trout. Then got a call from a friend about a good drum bite, so we got in on the action ??? Cut mullet for the win again!!!

Mid to late April offers an excellent time here on the Outer Banks, to kick the summer off right! We cruise down to either Hatteras or backside Oregon Inlet, chasing what some folks call Redfish but here locally better know as Drum. I’m not too partial on what you call them, I call them a blast!! We primarily cruise the shallow, clear water beaches in search of a school that we can sightcast to. Casting metal spoons and custom Meathog bugtail jigs usually get it done. It’s a ton of fun and I really hope some of you out there are able to come join in on the party. Give us a shout here on Fishingbooker and we’ll get ya hooked up???
