Captain Mike listened to our request on what we wanted to catch and the time we wanted to devote to Crappie and Largemouth Bass, and made it happen way beyond our expectations. Captain Mike showed us even more techniques than he did on our previous trip with him, and explained every detail of why he does it that way. We caught Largemouth Bass, Crappie, Channel Catfish, Blue Catfish, and Drum. Unbelievable day of fishing that we’ll never forget. We will definitely make a return trip from Texas to fish with Captain Mike.

4-timers tur (PM) • 2 voksneCaptain Mike was incredible, he got us on fish before we totally departed the dock area. We are in our sixties and have been successful anglers our entire lives. Captain Mike shared some techniques that we were totally unfamiliar with, that immediately gave results, we can now take that knowledge home to Texas and use it. Captain Mike is all about passing on knowledge and providing an exceptional experience so much so that we booked a full day trip with him tomorrow. We’ll give more updated following our next trip.

4-timers tur (AM) • 4 voksneMike is very friendly & well prepared. Some cold fronts that have passed through made the fish less cooperative. Mike's knowledge of Lake Ozark & his skillful use of sonar etc. allowed us to catch fish and make the day fun. In particular, I appreciated Mike balancing the need we had for coaching with his making our trip and our level of success a team effort. We used a variety of tackle and strategies. Mike filleted our catch. We had a great fish fry for supper.

4-timers tur (PM) • 2 voksneCaptain Mike was an outstanding host for me and my son. We asked him to take us to fish for Crappie and that is exactly what he did. Caught lots of fish and he taught my son how to filet them after we were back at the dock. Ask him to play the “Captain Mike” song on his Spotify. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to enjoy their time on the water and catch some fish.

From the monent we got to the dock to the moment we left the dock after the charter (with a ton of fish) he kept our whole family of 5 (with a 19 year old and teo ten year olds) entertained, engsged, and catching fish! I cannot recommend Captain Mike enough!!! We will be back every time we come to the Lake of the Ozarks!

We are catching good, best crappie bite is trolling cranks and jigging big docks. Catfish bite is on they are chasing shad schools abd the bite gets better each day. Bass bite is decent mostly smaller fis on swimbaits.
The biggest obstacle is the yoyo of barometric pressure and mid high heat days.
Catching on every trip.

Fishing is very good right now at Lake of the ozarks! The yrolling bite is best! Crappie are staged in deeper water in the back of coves gorging on shad that hatched this year. Also the Big Blue Catfish are jyst coming off of spawn and are hungry! They also love a crank bait. Book a guided trip with me Captsin Mike Doll and we can go get dinner!

Crappie Pre-spawn is Starting

With water temps about 50 at night and 56 during the day. Also nice Blue catfish are on the feed train. Bass are becoming more active and feeding on the great shad population. Catching some whitebass also abd expect that to become stronger very very soon.
