Guiding fishing trips grew from the captain's passion for fishing. When he started, he was teaching at elementary school and fishing every chance he had. He loves exploring the area's Lowcountry waters and the pure spontaneity of nature; you never know what will happen. The captain's favorite species of fish to chase is Redfish; he finds it an amazing, beautiful, and powerful fish that you can target year-round in the Lowcountry.

    Our experience with Captain Tommy was absolutely outstanding. From the moment we set out, his extensive knowledge of the local waters and fishing patterns was immediately evident.     Best fishing trip we’ve had!

    Our group has taken a handful of fishing trips together and this was by far the best one! Capt Tommy and Blake were great and kept us on the fish. Great recommendation for “catch and cook” at Locals Raw Bar, too. Highly recommend fishing with Sea Island Adventures!

    Hard working Captain!

    Captain worked hard all day to get us on Fish. It was slow a day but we managed to get come big Redfish on board and landed several Sharks while attempting to find the alusive Cobia. We will get them nect time!

    Captain Tommy did an awesome job. He put us on some bull reds and keepers. He worked well with the kids and helped them understand what was going on and why. Everyone had a good time and almost everyone caught fish.

    Outing of a lifetime!

    Tommy was a tremendous captain, he put us on fish early with a whiting and sea trout. Made the request before the trip to see if we could possibly land a shark, and right in the middle of the trip we landed a 3+ft Bonnethead! An unforgettable day with my son and all thanks to cpt Tommy, boat was immaculate. Dont hesitate to book, wouldnt think twice to do it again.

March Fishing Report

Mar 22, 2025 • Port Royal
Inshore has been producing good action with redfish, sheepshead, and black drum. We are finding fish way back in creeks in deep holes and around structure. Big sheepshead are being caught in numbers on the nearshore reefs as they are spawing right now. Offshore anglers are still hunting big wahoo off our coast. Things are hearing up and we are excited for the arrival of bait and cobia!

March 2024 Report

Mar 1, 2024 • Port Royal
Redfish are still being found schooled up way back in the creeks. Recently, we’ve found some great trout bites which are welcome after a very slow year for trout in 2023. Lots of small sheepshead to be caught inshore and big sheepshead nearshore when the ocean is calm. Small shrimp have arrived in the backwaters and the fish seem to be keyed in on them.
