4 Dorado Caught
Charter Date: August 5, 2026
Charter Time: 8:00 AM
Charter Length: 5 Hours
Boat: Blue Water – 35' Riviera
Captain: Oscar
Anglers: Jenn and Wally
Catch: 4 Dorado
Total Game Fish: 4
August 5 delivered a productive five-hour morning for Jenn and Wally aboard the 35-foot Riviera Blue Water with Captain Oscar. The couple traveled from New Orleans and finished their private charter with four dorado during warm summer conditions off Cabo San Lucas.
Four fish during a shorter five-hour charter provided repeated action while still allowing the anglers to enjoy a morning-sized trip rather than committing to a full day offshore.
Dorado Fishing During a Warm Cabo Morning
Water temperatures were approximately 84–85°F, while air temperatures ranged around 81–85°F. Winds remained generally light, providing comfortable conditions as Captain Oscar searched for productive areas.
Finding dorado often involves much more than simply trolling continuously in one direction. The crew watches for signs that may indicate productive water, including concentrations of bait, birds, floating vegetation and visible current changes.
Dorado can move quickly while feeding, making the ability to recognize these signs and adjust the fishing presentation particularly useful.
For Jenn and Wally, the search resulted in four dorado encounters.

Four Dorado Keep the Fishing Active Around Cabo
Dorado are particularly well suited to creating an exciting offshore experience because each encounter can develop differently.
Aggressive strikes can be followed by fast runs, changes of direction and energetic fights near the boat. Their distinctive green, blue and gold coloration adds another visual element when a fish approaches the vessel.
With four dorado caught during the morning, Jenn and Wally had multiple opportunities to experience this action.
Captain Oscar continued working the available signs throughout the charter, adjusting the search as conditions and fish activity changed.
A Productive Five-Hour Cabo Fishing Charter
The August 5 trip showed that a five-hour charter can still produce quality offshore action when productive water and game fish are within reach.
Jenn and Wally did not need a full-day trip to experience repeated encounters with one of Cabo's signature summer species.
Their morning aboard Blue Water combined warm Pacific water, generally light winds and four dorado, producing a straightforward and successful fishing experience.
From the first strike through the final fish, dorado remained the story of the day.
