Your Fishing Charter

If you're in the market for a day to remember, look no further than Lake Ontario Fishing with Capt. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Capt Dawson can tell you all about them. 

These waters are known for Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, and more – with any luck, they'll make your reel scream.

You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Capt Dawson also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear. 

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Feel free to bring your own snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized! 

You'll be fishing aboard a 21' Bass boat with room for 4 passengers. It has a fighting chair, all the essentials.

Rods, reels, and tackle are included, along with lures.

You might need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

A few items to bring include sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

This is a 6-hour AM trip, and does have some flexibility of start time, based on availability. Trips are run anywhere from the basin of Lake Ontario near Watertown, launching in Sackets, Dexter, or Chaumont Bay, depending on the weather and your location.
