We had a great time and my daughter caught a 43” mahi-mahi!  The crew was awesome!  The best part was eating our freshly caught fish in Yelapa for lunch!  We will definitely do this trip again!

Carlos and Erik where awesome, friendly, and work their butt off to get us on the fish (mahi). Also went with the owner, Ariel, a few years ago and their service is consistent between boats. These guys know how to do it!

There was not a lot of action until a school of tune came into the bay.  But the captain just kept throwing a lure into the school and snagging the fish and then handing the pole off to one of us.  We really wanted to “fish” and I understand that the captain was trying to give us the best experience but this was really not our idea of fishing.  Overall if the fish were biting I’m sure the experience would have been 5 stars and I would recommend.

We had a party of 5, the day started viewing a mama and baby whale showing off and posing for pictures.  We opted to do additional fishing instead of snorkeling. 

Samuel and Carlos then set out 8 reels and started trolling.  They identified birds diving and casted a couple lines and hooked two amberjack fish that myself and my son caught.  They were a good size, but we opted to release them.

We then began trolling across the bay to Los Animas for a couple hours.  Unfortunately not a nibble.

We had lunch at Los Animas and it was excellent, but beware as the restaurant will offer specials and they are double the cost of the items on the menu, so ask about prices.  You will also be solicited by several locals to purchase necklaces, pie, ear rings, etc.  The place is a little dingy, but the seafood is as good as any 4-5 star place you can find in Dallas.

All in all, Samuel and Carlos were very helpful and accommodating, the fish just weren’t biting.  Would definitely recommend and I will call them when back in town.

Had a great day fishing. Captain and crew went up and above again to make sure we caught fish. Good tackle and a very clean boat!  Will fish with them again for sure!!
