Background
Alaska’s Kenai Jim’s Lodge & Guides have been operating on the Kenai peninsula since 1978. They provide fishing trips in waters that have seen record breaking Salmon, and have seen hundreds of Salmon weighing over 50 lbs taken by guests on their charter trips over the years. Unlike many other lodges in Alaska, they are easily accessible and affordable, although they are still surrounded by unmatched beauty and incredible fishing.
Techniques
Our fishing style and techniques lend themselves to both inexperienced and experienced anglers. We bottom fish for Pacific halibut; back-troll for king salmon; cast spinners for coho and pink salmon; do riverbank fishing with fly rods for sockeye salmon, etc.

Went fishing on Tuesday, June 21, 2016

Jim Johnson was very helpful in identifying poor fishing conditions on Kenai and therefore arranging alternate trip with FishingTalesGuides on the Kasilof. It was early in the season but still landed one King Salmon. Would recommend this trip but delay until mid July.
