Captain
Randall Garcia

Member since February 2015 Herradura, Costa Rica
Background
I have been fishing professionally in Costa Rica for over 16 years. I grew up fishing in Guanacaste on the Northern Pacific coast of Costa Rica, but Los Sueños has been my home port for the past 10 years due to its fishing diversity and consistency of fishing quality. Captain of the Go Fish since June 2015, I have a wealth of knowledge and extensive experience of both inshore and offshore fishing on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica.
Techniques
Offshore we usually use bait and switch techniques by trolling artificial teasers, dead baits, stick-baits and lures. Alternatively we can cast poppers to schools of Tuna or target bottom dwelling species with vertical jigs or bait. Many of our multiple tackle techniques target many species at once and will often result in double hook-ups. Inshore the main target of these trips is typically Cubera Snapper, Grouper, Rooster-fish and an assortment of other Snappers, Jacks and Mackerel. While slowly working these rocky shorelines we are simultaneously slow-trolling live baits, casting poppers and dropping jigs.

Captain and mate were competent and nice.  We caught two sail fish in about three hours of fishing. Reasonably priced
