Great time caught a bunch of fish the clean the minute everything

26th deep sea fishing trip for me and by far the worst. Booked trip with Alex as captain of the boat. Alex greeted us upon arrival and to collect the money. Once I paid him he shared that our “Skipper” would be Isreal. Was a little put off that Alex wouldn’t be taking us. Learned very quickly that Isreal had little to experience when I noticed that we were trolling at 9+ knots. Which was about 4-5 knots faster then the lures we were using.  When I went up to the top deck to ask if we were working a shelf or a current, I received a hand wave of over here and over there. Isreal didn’t speak any English so hands waves was his only communication. The first mate came down to work the lines 3 times the entire trip once to untangle every one of them as Isreal drove the boat in a zigzag manner and the other two times were to set the originally and pull them in at the harbor entrance. The first mate spent 99% of his time with the captain sleeping with occasionally coming down to use the bathroom or once just peeing off the back of the boat in front of myself and my sons. The boat has zero seats on the bow and inside is in very poor shape with hooks and grease on much of it. The fish well was full of Mackerel but not once was any used. After 10 hours of aimlessly trolling around at 9+ knots I asked to go home. My request wasn’t acted upon until an additional hour longer and the the captain slowed the boat down to 4 knots and never changed his speed until we were at the dock 3 hours later when we met Alex at the dock. I shared my experience with Alex and he was genuinely shocked but that was way to later and $1,300 less in my pocket.
