This trip had the preamble to be dismal. Slow bite,  unfavorable conditions, eratic weather,... but Capt Alex did a phenomenal job and put us on some amazing fish.  Family oriented. Positive.  Calt Alex was great with young Inexperienced fishermen.  He set them up to keep them busy and give them the best experience, all while being mindful of the ultimate goal,  finding the fish and getting them in the boat.  Highly Highly recommend. Captain Alex was very accommodating, and well prepared for any change that came our way. We wanted some big ones, dropped the line 3 times and caught 3 big Amberjacks with the live bait we caught in the morning. The day rolled on from there, made the kids happy and made the dads happy. Overall a great experience, would definitely recommend.

Captain Short could not have better! He knew exactly what needed to be done to put us on fish - and he did just that! On a 6-hour trip (in spite of rough seas and rain) he put us on red snapper, kingfish, and mahi-mahi - we caught all three! He made sure we had a great time fishing and catching fish. Captain Short is excellent!

Got to try different fishing styles throughout the trip. The captain told me exactly what we were doing and why. We landed some big Red snappers and a few Amberjack which was one of the species I wanted to catch. You need to make time for a trip with Capt. Alex, you won’t regret it !
