Johnny, let me shed some light on your trip so future customers are not lied to. Starters bummer you didn’t have fun. We caught snook, reds, trout etc. You booked a inshore fishing trip. We talked through what to expect. In no conversation did we have that consisted of us going “offshore”. Are offshore trip ranges from $900-$1200 dollars. You purchased/ booked a inshore fishing trip. Please see picture incase you forgot. I think thats case closed. If you or anyone else take a look at our reviews our company speaks for itself. We provide a class act fishing charter that we not only catch fish but provide an experience. we build relationships with our customers hint why we are booked up 320 plus days a year. Well I guess you shared you story and there’s always two sides to every story. So let’s share ours. When you booked you received 2 confirmation emails and a long txt that has all the information you need with my direct cell number. You booked our Sarasota location, the trip you booked I gave YOU the option to be picked up there and or drive to Anna Maria ( 30 min)to have more fishing time. Once again your option.
Secondly, we use shins on spheros reels with shimano rods. Each setup cost $350 obviously not cheap equipment. Thirdly, yes you are correct there was one broken rod that was spooled by a fish from the trip before you. It was in a rod holder on the boat but that wasn’t the rod you were using so I feel as if we’re starting to grasp for straws. Fourthly, the day we fished was windy, has nothing to do with batteries not being charged has to do when it gets so windy, the $3000 dollar minn Kota ipilot trolling motor just couldn’t hold, why we dropped anchor. As you can see with hundreds of other reviews we are a 5 star service. It’s unfortunate you didn’t see it that way! Have a great rest of your trip.

Brian,  I will keep this short and sweet. I apologize if you didn’t think you got what you deserved that said, here’s the truth. I feel that morning and cracked my wrist, instead of cancelling I sent a captain that runs 300 trips a year, that specializes in inshore fishing. You had the option to cancel, reschedule or go on the trip. Per our conversation the night before you asked about tarpon I said if you wanted a strictly tarpon trip to contact fishing booker and switch the trip to tarpon only. There are tons of behind the scene preparation that goes into every trip that I offer and it’s all different. I said we could try and look for some tarpon if they were out there but #1 couldn’t promise it and #2 advised against it with the small kids because most little guys and girls are a little on the impatient side… you agreed. The rods and reels we use are shimano stradics paired with red bone rods and Florida fishing product reels paired with calico jacks. We had over $2000 in combos on your trip. As for a trolling motor that is completely not necessary by no means case and point with how many fish your family caught.  It’s a bummer that you have to react in a negative manner when just because you didn’t catch a tarpon when both your kids and wife caught over 20 snook, 16 snapper and a 43 inch barracuda. To me that’s a great fishing day. As for taking you out a second time I did say if I had time throughout the week You could possibly jump on board but once again can’t promise it.
