Our "Bite" on lots of larger species such as Shark (various species ranging from 15 thru 80 lbs.), Big Redfish (ranging from 15 thru 35 lbs.), Jack Crevalle (ranging from 15 thru 35 lbs.), POSSIBLY Cobia (ranging from 10 thru 70 lbs.). A lot of these are very common species landed on most trips with the exception of Cobia which is at times very hard to find. If you are wanting to land a bigger fish we highly recommend the 6 hour trip. Our weather is very nice and the fish are biting. April 2018 Fishing Report : As with the air temp our water temps are also starting to warm up here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Impulsive Charters has been busy making some great memories for all clients lately with some "Big" (Offshore) catches and lots of "Smaller" (Inshore) catches. We are starting to see a definite pick up with our offshore bite with some of our larger Redfish and Shark's which always put on a really nice fight for all clients. This "Offshore" bite is approximately 20 - 25 minutes away from the Impulsive's dock around our Pristine Barrier Islands. The "Inshore" Bite has been on fire with lots of the small "Pan Frying" species making for a fun field "Action Packed" trip for all on board. These "Inshore" spots are only minutes away from the Impulsive's dock. Half Day Inshore with Capt Scott

The trip was easy to book with Capt Scott. The plan was to do a 5 hour trip but the weather didn’t agree. Rain and thunderstorms cut the trip to 3 hours but Capt Scott did a great job watching the radar, getting us on some fish, and getting us back to the dock before the downpours. Capt Scott cleaned the fish and of course pro-rated the trip. We had great time and made some great memories. We plan to do another trip.

Two beautiful days on the water. It was a short ride of a few miles to the fish lines. Started off quiet fishing with live croaker. It definitely picked up. I caught 6 the first day form 25-45 pounds. I think it was 12 on the second day. These fish are fighters. We definitely had double hits and maybe a triple. We can for sure say that you can now check off Redfish off of your Bucket List.. We for sure landed and released some world class Mississippi Gulf Coast Bull Redfish during our two days of consecutive fishing together. The bite finally came thru for us as if the fish gods turned on the “Bite Light Switch”.. Captain Scott was very nice and accommodating and had a nice boat and poles for the type of fish we were looking for. The problem I had was that when I booked, I had explained that I had no idea if it was a good fishing season in March and that we were used to catching large walleye and northern pike and I wouldn’t be interested in catching small fish. 👎 After being in business now for 27 plus years I have NEVER been accused of not telling the truth OR being dis-honest to any of my clients that have fished with me (this is a first)!! If you ask any respected Captain on the MS Coast they will tell you that I am one of the most respected / well known and honest captains we have in our charter fishing fleet !! As you said in your review the wind did pick up about 2 hours into our trip and yes the weather men/woman were wrong with their prediction on this particular day as the wind was expected to pick up around noon (after our trip would have been over) so this Is when I decided to move us inside the harbor to calmer waters to finish up your 4 hour charter. As our bite goes a couple trips prior to yours my clients landed a 18 pound Red Drum approx 20-50 feet from where we were fishing in Monday. My Tuesday trip was cancelled due to heavy rains, my Wednesday trip was a Non stop bite on the “Variety” of “TROUT” and other species-so good I had one client catching a couple dozen “TROUT” on artificial, TODAY’s trip was also VERY good on Trout and other species “ALL” Of these fish are caught in the exact same spot that we first fished on your trip !!!! SO my reply back to your 3.5 star review is this is why they call it “FISHING instead of CATCHING” I’m sure your mom knows as she is a fishing person and realizes that fish have tails and move around from Spot to spot and I’m sure also understands that you cannot always “CATCH” this is also why in my line of business we are called “Fishing Charters INSTEAD of Catching Charters” !!!!! I do hope you were able to find some Crawfish to bring back with you and you and your mother had a safe drive on your return trip. Thank you for your kind comment in my boat and tackle - very kind if you ! And YES we do at times catch some larger fish in March so March is not as bad as month as you titled your Review !!!
