The Captain and Crew were the best!! They made our day one of the best fishing trips we have ever had. They knew exactly where and what to do. Great time.

Wonderful experience. Captain Jose was an expert and Chris kept the boat spotless and helped with all the fishing. Came back to port with two big mahimahi. Local restaurant cooking for us tonight. Doesn’t get any fresher than that. Second time with Aries Fleet, El CID Marina, Mazatlan, MX Definitely recommend!

Went fishing on Wednesday, November 25, 2015

Gilberto, our experienced Boat Captain, took us straight out to deep water where the billfish were.  It wasn’t long before our first strike, an unseen predator that cleaned the bait from all three trolling rigs in quick succession.  Carlos, his Mate re-rigged the hooks and with his help, soon my niece had a nice sailfish on board.  After trolling a while longer my nephew had a second, larger sailfish on board.  We moved on to different water looking for other billfish.  Near the end of our fishing day, a strike flattened the center rod and Captain Gilberto hit the throttles hard to set the hook.  The reel sang and through the cloud of diesel smoke off the stern about 250 yards we saw it – a rare blue marlin, dancing on its tail across the water.  Our 11-year-old grandson manned the rod and with Carlos’ help, he began a 45-minute struggle to bring the “monster” in.  It measured 91 inches and would have weighed about 200 pounds had a scale been available – certainly trophy material for a young lad.  Two trophy fish in one day, all in all, it was a great day of fishing (and catching)!  Memories were made and we will always fondly remember Captain Gilberto and First Mate Carlos when we look back on our photos and gaze at our trophies on the wall.
