I make it a point to make sure everyone that comes fishing with me feels comfortable and has more than just a deep sea fishing trip but a memory that will make you want to come back again. I run a family friendly company and enjoy teaching kids the joys of fishing.

My fishing techniques change with what I'm actually fishing for. For Red Snapper I like to use a sow rig but for trigger and vermillion snapper I like to use a 2 hook rig. You have to be adaptable to catch fish!

King mackerel! 4 hour trolling trip

May 28, 2016

We had a great group with us today on the Eagle Express. We used spoons and planners for our trolling technique today and it produced a lot of fish. It's always a great thing to have a fun day… Read Full Report →

Great 10 hour family trip!

June 11, 2016

We started out high speed trolling for about 2 1/2 hours then we began the bottom fishing. The fish bite started out kinda of slow but the groupers were biting. Then we moved back north about 10 miles and… Read Full Report →

Tackle was poor for the price of the trip, a lot of fish species we were fishing for was not in season not knowing this would have changed my mind for a 2400 dollar snapper trip , they did troll in and out shore but really as a charter buyer it was more to burn time and save his fuel rather than really fish the trolled offshore lures basically what doesn’t bite inshore to just 25 miles out the boat was really good my group had a good time and my daughters had fun but from the professional experience it could have been different we did catch plenty of snapper but I picked a boat that I felt would give that real ginuine off shore experience . Basically it was an over priced snapper trip . The boat came in earlier than he was supposed to by about 40 minutes ,for only 25 miles out I feel the captain was setting up on an evening charter he asked me to leave atelier that morning which was not an issue but it ranked low on my 10s list .deck hands were friendly and tentive I tipped 20 percent

We are sorry that you and your family and friends had a poor time with us on the Eagle Express. We do troll out and in from our offshore locations, but we have had proven success with these lures within 25 miles this year and in the past. The different species of fish we caught that were out of season werent targeted on our behalf. I do understand throwing fish back is frustrating but I can’t make one type of fish bite the hook over another. After we reached our limit of red snapper,  I was trying to target Mingo and white snapper and we caught a few before trolling back in. Once again, I do apologize for your poor experience and would like another chance to earn your business in the future.

What a day.  When we hit the reef 22 miles out, it was like we were fishing in an aquarium.  In addition to hitting our max Red Snapper, and returning trigger fish that were out of season, we caught a 6 ft and 8ft shark.  Out of 8 people on the boat, we had 5 first timers.  It was a very memorable experience.  Awesome boat and awesome Captain and Mate.  I have been on a dozen trips, this was by far the best.  2 thumbs up

Great day of fishing with a great crew! I booked this charter because it was listed as “family friendly.” It certainly was! Captain Doug sent us the forecast & the address. I was a little worried because I wasn’t sure we would be able to find the boat. They met us at the truck with a golf cart to carry everything to the boat and escort us to where we needed to be. Captain Doug put us on the fish fairly quickly. We caught about 100 pounds of Mackerel. It was worth every penny to let them clean and filet all those fish. They even bagged it in freezer bags! RC, our deckhand was amazing! He worked so hard! The boat was clean & comfy inside and out. Captain Doug also took the time to make sure we all got to see the local sea turtle at the dock when we returned. We had a blast and will definitely book this charter again!!!

Thanks again, Captain Doug and RC!
