Had a great time! Our guide was very good at what he does. We reached our fish limit easily. He kept our lines baited and worked hard to keep us having fun.

We had a BLAST! Our goal was to have FUN and catch fish. Captain Justin was super nice and very knowledgeable. We hooked our first fish within minutes of dropping our line. I would highly recommend Destin Backcountry Fishing and Captain Justin. Thanks for helping me check one off of my Bucket List.

Started out alittle slow the first hour by trying to dodge the weather and stay near shore. Luckily it cleared up and we were able to make it out to open water. As soon as we got out there and dropped lines we had bites! Snapper and King Mackerel mostly. The only thing that I was disappointed about was being unaware when I booked that you could only keep Red Snapper on weekends at this time(which unfortunately was the main thing I was after). But never the less, it was a great day on the water with Capt. Matt. He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and good time. We came back with 2 beautiful king mackerel, and one being the biggest of the season so far! We will definitely be booking a longer trip next time! Thanks again for everything Matt! Keep it up man!

Lance was an awesome captain. We arrived early and he was there waiting for us ready to go. Caught some bait first to supplement the frozen bait and lures. Then went out to get the big ones. He took us right to the fish and they were biting right away. Caught some Cobia, just weren’t big enough to keep. Fish were biting all morning, they just outsmarted us by stealing half of the bait or getting off the hook. He brought us to the fish, we just did not bring them in lol. Lost the biggest fish of the day when a dolphin swooped in out of nowhere and took it. All in all a wonderful time and great experience. I highly recommend you do it too! Lance was a great guy all around and would go back out with him in a heart beat.

Unfortunately the day of our trip was gusty and rough conditions in the bay.  Off shore was out of the question.  Our captain tried everything he could to get us on the fish, but, it just wasn’t going to happen.  I don’t know of many captains that would have tried so hard.  I highly recommend this charter and we will be going again.
