I'm a Minnesota muskie fishing guide, based in the Twin Cities area. I've been fishing my entire life and the passion only continues to grow. Musky fishing is my specialty, I've been chasing these amazing fish for over 20 years. I live and guide in the Twin Cities metro area of Minneapolis Minnesota. I love the challenge of musky fishing and I am genuinely passionate about teaching my guide clients everything I've learned over the years. There is nothing more rewarding than helping someone catch their first musky, or their biggest musky, or even watching them witness their first musky follow!
Techniques
I'm mainly a casting guide, there is nothing like interacting with a giant musky as it follows your bait to the boat. I will accomodate for trolling trips when the conditions work for trolling. Generally trolling takes place in the fall, during windy conditions that won't allow boat control with my electric trolling motor, or when clients are unable to effectively cast.

We're still getting fish on bucktails and spinnerbaits, but water temps are into the 50s now and livebait is a viable option now. I've seen giant muskies show up more and more frequently. These are incredibly smart creatures when they are old and big, livebait is a great way to fool a mega giant!

October is starting off in the right direction! With unseasonably warm weather the last month, we finally get a cool down and the fish are getting active! We're getting them on bucktails and topwater and I'd expect that to continue for another 2 - 3 weeks.

September is coming to a close and it left me scratching my head most of the month. But, we still got bit and put a few first ever muskies in the boat, including this one we got 20 minutes into the morning yesterday. It might not feel like fall is coming when the air temps are still around 80 degrees, but the days are shorter and the muskies know fall is here. Things have been very unpredictable lately, which makes it so important to get on the water and just fish, you never know when the hot bite will happen. Fall is approaching so don't wait, get ypur trip booked. Fall live bait fishing will start around mid October.
