Mr. Bedford, first off thank you for switching boats. Sudden cardiac arrest is not predictable. 
My daughter owns the Longshot and it has a very good reputation . Of course we don’t make the weather and I believe most vessels in the fleet made their trips on that day. 
The deckhand is there to help everyone have an enjoyable trip. His first responsibility is the safety of everyone on board.  I trust you had a safe trip and returned safely to port .  If he was coarse at you I can assure you it had to do with your safety as well as his own.  Flying 12 oz. Leads with hooks attached are dangerous especially in rough seas with novice fisherman .  It can be enough to bring out the sailor in a well seasoned mate.  I know most boat owners and mates spend a lot of time sanding and painting our vessels so I not surprised he took exception to leads constantly dinging the side. For you to say it was not avoidable says volumes. Calling him names here and on fb is very disturbing to say the least. Once again thank you for booking with us.  Perhaps Destin is a better fit. Fair winds and following seas mate.
