We had an amazing time fishing the flats with Captain Eric. He showed us and taught us so much. My 8 yr old son and 12 yr daughter want me to book it again already. My daughter was fishing true “ like a girl” style. She caught a huge bull Red!!
It was a little windy and chilly this morning but nobody worried about that as we were out there “ catching “ not just fishing. We will definitely be back Eric!!

Captain Eric was absolutely awesome!  We took our 4 kids out. The water was fairly choppy to start.  He was was safety first and fun second while traveling to the fishing spot.  Once we arrived, he made the most of it for us.  He put us on the fish and included the kids in EVERYTHING! He made it a day our kids will never forget.  But not without keeping the safety of our family in mind the whole time. Always monitoring conditions. We will definitely be coming back for another trip with these guys!

My son and I had an outstanding trip with Capt Eric. We weren’t looking to take home any of the catch so Eric focused us on some early success with smaller fish, then we went out for some bigger aspirations. Between the two of us, we fought several decent sized sharks as well as a red drum. And during the entire trip, Eric was supportive, helpful, and professional. He engaged with both of us, and helped my son with some of the more physically strenuous parts of the fighting. I highly recommend this charter!

I purchased this trip for my husband and grandson. They are still talking about the wonderful time they had. We highly recommended this trip to others who are searching. The pre-trip communication was excellent and all questions answered. My grandson wanted to catch a shark and he did along with several other fish 🐠! They can’t wait to book another fishing trip with Captain Mike! This fishing trip was definitely the highlight of their holiday weekend in Galveston!

I paid for 4 but only three made it out.  I was going to cancel the trip and only be out the deposit but figured the captain would have had someone else booked so we went ahead and showed up, didn’t feel right leaving him hanging.  When arriving, I told him there were only going to be 3 of us thinking he would only charge for the 3 that showed up but he charged the full price and said if we would have booked direct and not through Fishing Booker he would have.  I didn’t think that was right but stayed optimistic that we would have a good time.  I don’t know what the fishing appearance standards are but the captain was not up to par with previous fishing guides I have been with, just looked sloppy.  We went out and caught bait, while he was baiting the hooks he had is moving the hooks to him over one another and behind each other coming close to each others legs, didn’t seem very safe.  After the bait was caught, I thought we were going to be fishing more in the bay but we went straight to the jetties to only have all three of us getting snagged on our first casts.  Water was really rough on the side we were on and my boys were watching the boats on the other side of the jetties catching fish.  I was telling my boys he must know where the big fish are that’s why we were on that side.  Captain said the current was too strong so we went out to the channel to catch shark.  I hooked something big only to fight it for a bit then the reel broke, fish lost.  Caught two small sharks after that and had to head in because both of my boys got sick.  I really wanted this trip to work out since one of my boys was getting ready to leave to basic training but I guess that’s the way it goes.  I know I said I wanted to catch some trout and reds but I guess I should have asked more questions and reiterated what I wanted.  I understand my boys got sick and we had to cut it short but this fishing experience is one I want to forget.  I hope this review helps everyone involved improve on communication and overall fishing experience for everyone.  I wish the Captain all the best and hope he has success going forward.
