- Captain Calvin F. Duvalle grew up fishing, shrimping, crabbing, and hunting in Southeast Louisiana with his father Big Cal. Big Cal has a love for the outdoors that he passed on to Calvin. Calvin took that love for the outdoors and compounded it. His younger years were spent going to school, playing sports, and spending the rest of this time in the woods or on the water. If you bring him into the city he cannot find is way around, but put him in the woods or on the water and he is never lost. His loving wife, Kim, is not able to understand how that is and thankfully she knows her way in the city. Growing up Capt. Calvin’s family had camps in Empire, Port Sulpher, Lafitte, and Lake Pontchatrain. He was 12 when he had his first boat. It was a 12' flat bottom with a 9.9 Evenrude on it. He would take it out by himself and caught hundreds if not thousands of fish in it. Captain Calvin’s love for fishing grew the more he learned how different techniques improve your odds of catching fish.
