Ponce Inlet, United States

Background
I grew up in New England with a family of commercial and recreational fishermen. I worked on many of the charter boats and head boats from Gloucester to Portsmouth. I served in the United States Coast Guard from 1990 to 1994 primarily working in the Gulf of Alaska and the Bering Sea. I recieved my first USCG Captains license in 1994 and I have upgraded and held a license ever since. I moved to Florida in the mid to late 1990s and I have been fishing Ponce Inlet and surrounding areas ever since. Fishing has been a big part of my life, I wish to share the adventure with others and will work hard to make your trip an enjoyable one with me. Have a great day Tight Lines Capt. John
Techniques
I really enjoy live baiting when the conditions good and the bait is around. Trolling is a lot of fun and exciting when there is a decent bite and the action is consistent. The summer months when the Shrimp Boats are just a little ways offshore are an absolute blast with Tarpon, Kingfish, Sharks and other predators following these boats around, almost non stop action. Summer months during the Full Moom offer some exciting night fishing for Mangrove Snapper and can be a great way to bring home plenty of fillets for the Family. Ponce Inlet and inland waters prove to be an excellent option during days of inclimate weather or if maybe a passenger does not quite have there sea legs. The calm waters offer plenty of inshore species such as Redfish, snook, tarpon, trout and flounder. I really enjoy many techniques of fishing with spinning or conventional reels. If there is any type of fishing you are interested in and I have not listed it please feel free to inquire. Thanks
