This was our second trip out with captain Robert (Last year being the first) and we had another wonderful experience. We caught rock salmon, mahi, mangrove snapper, & some really nice red snapper. I’m telling you folks if you want an experienced captain (whose great w/kids), a well stocked boat, & the opportunity to catch these amazing fish book with Robert. I am already making my plans to book next year! Thanks again Robert for an amazing time!!

My son and I had a blast with captain Robert. For starters, Robert reached out to me prior to our trip and asked what we were interested in catching. The day of the trip, we met Robert at the dock, boarded the boat, and then he gave an overview of what he had planned out based on our asks. We took a short boat ride to the gulf, and started fishing. We started out fishing for king mackerel. A short time later we caught our limit and then we headed out to do some bottom fishing. We caught so many different species of fish I can’t even remember them all. My son and I brought home 11 fish. However, we caught well over 25 fish during our trip. Robert was very hands on. He taught us how to properly catch each fish without wearing ourselves out. The boat was also well equipped and very clean. I can’t say enough good things about our trip and Robert. Robert is a great captain, very friendly(great with kids to), and also has a wealth of knowledge about fishing and the waters in the gulf. If you are looking for a great fishing experience in the gulf, book with Robert. 100% recommended.

Booked a 4 hour trip that we’d hoped to go into the Gulf for, but unfortunately the weather had other plans. Conditions were too dangerous for that so rather then cancel Capt. Robert took us into the bay and we still had a good time. The fish weren’t biting at all but he kept trying to put us on the right spots he had scouted the day before. We did end up getting enough for supper and even though he apologized for the poor fishing I had a great time with my kids out on the water before the thunderstorm came in. I would recommend him and will book with Captain Robert again on our next trip.

Captain Robert was right at his boat waiting for us when we arrived. His boat is really clean and he is very organized. After a trip across bay and then into gulf he began looking for bat fish to catch. The gulf was pretty rough and he found a couple spots but not much biting but he was determined to find some bait fish. He found a good spot and we had our bait. He then took us to several of his red snapper locations. He showed my 18 and 20 year old boys how he wanted them to fish off back of boat. It was just a short time and both boys landed their first snappers. Bit long after that my 20 year old got a big bite and he had a rough go time getting it off the bottom and eventually broke off. Captain thought it was a large gag grouper. It spooked the fish in that location and he moved to a different location and we caught our limit in no time. Captain Robert is a very serious fisherman and he lets know what you are doing wrong right away. You can tell he loves what he is doing and he is determined to get you on the fish and caught. On way back there were Bonita swimming on surface he threw in jig and had my 20 year old son landed it. Once we got back to dock he cleaned and fillet the fish. He told us a good recipe for the snapper. I followed his directions in that recipe and we ate some good fresh snapper back at condo. Excellent recipe and some of the best fish we have ever eaten. Captain Robert is all business on way to fishing grounds since he wants you to catch fish. He told a lot of good stories once we caught our fish and when he was cleaning them. I would not hesitate fishing with him again. Thanks Captain Robert for a great time.

I’ve never seen anyone hustle harder to make sure our group had bait and hooks in the water catching fish. Captain Robert of Fish-in-Daze charters has a genuine passion that really shows in how hard he works to give people an unforgettable day on the water. We were facing pretty difficult conditions on the day we went out and his ability to adapt and improvise to still give us a safe, enjoyable and successful outing really showcases his knowledge of the area. Not only that, he treated our whole group, and especially the kids with the utmost respect. I’ll definitely be booking again and can’t wait for another trip with Captain Robert.
